| Actually pretty good! Rock Band: Lego cheats I'm a big fan of the Rockband franchise- I've gone to great lengths to get the games given there's not a whole lot of support for them in Australia; they're a superior product to the Guitar Hero games because they don't require players to continue to buy new discs all the time. Rock Band: Lego review So I was a lil' sceptical when Rockband: Lego was released, especially after Rockband: Beatles that was a stand alone game and not compatible with the original Rockband/Rockband 2 discs. Luckily Rockband: Lego is not like that. Straight away, RB Lego allows you to export its track lists to the original Rockband 2 game using the familiar one off code found in the manual. This originally was the reason for me getting the game- I wasn't expecting to actually play it on the disc. But here I was surprised. In turn, RB Lego also detects and allows you to play all of your DLC- including RB1 tracks if you had originally exported them to RB2. This straight away adds to the fun as it's more flexible than the annoying RB: Beatles. Gameplay itself is much the same, though it does seem to be a lil easier than the original discs- It seems a lot more common to hit 5 stars than in the RB/RB2. You also unlock a whole lot more and gain a lot more $$ (or bricks as they call them) to buy stuff for finishing tracks than in previous games. As far as the characters, it's just a different way of customising your characters using the Lego look and feel to the traditional RB character design. You can also customise your roadies and entourage characters as well, and there's also a cute feature to customise your "Rock Den" There are cute cameos from famous bands such as Queen, there's also a whole back story set in the Lego world that gets sort of irritating after a while- lil pieces of mock 'trivia' pop up during load screens that I think are supposed to be funny. I'm not convinced even kids would think so. Still, the sheer fact you can play your DLC within the RB:Lego game does mean it's got more playability than just an export track disc and discard- though even if you wanted to do that, it's got a nice listing of tracks that are well worth the 10 bucks required to export them to RB2. (I mean who doesn't wanna play 'Ghostbusters' by Ray Parker Jr? hehe) I was quietly surprised to find it as playble and i admit its quite a lot of fun. Recommended. | A Great music selection the game is very cuty, but is a introduction of the rockband's game system for kids. Anyway, is very funny, like others Rockband. The best: the musics and the musicians (like The queen and Davic Bowie). The worst: so much childish and be a lego's game (i dont like lego's game). | Impossible to classify. My request has not arrived yet. I'm super excited about the arrival of it. Strange is that the site has no control of when will the product, but charges for it. By danilo_cs (Santo André, Brazil) This review is for a different format. |
