| God Save The Kinks
That was a promotional campaign started by Warner Brothers records in 1968. It did nothing to increase the popularity of the band, nor did it help the sales of this album (it did not even crack the Billboard Top 200) upon its release in 1968.

This album is very enjoyable to listen to and I would recommend it to any one that is interested in British Rock.

| Vintage and Classic sounding Kinks
I admit that the Kinks -- and the early Bee Gees are probably as infuential, in many ways, as the Beatles and the Stones to so much of what we listen to today.

What else can I say other than this is one of the sexiest releases from the Kinks. In keeping with early work this album has one solid track after another.

Ive never been a fan of the kinks, In fact I paid 'em little attention untiol I heard "do you remember walter" in an internet radio and I was amazed by the songcraft the delicacy the melody... ., so I started to research a bit, so I noticed that a lot of people talked marvels about this CD, their position against the "new ways", the ole england in a moment of chaos (late 60's).
