Relayer songs Carnivorous, alcohol-loving Rick Wakeman was always at odds with the health-food mindset of the other Yes members, though his brash pomp was at the heart of their sound. | This *IS* the US release with added Japanese booklet & Obi! (4 stars as a Yes record, 2 stars removed for value) As a customer from the UK who is prepared to pay a premium for Japanese CD pressings I am dismayed to receive this official Japanese issue of Yes' "Relayer" only to find that it is in actual fact the sealed US digipak (complete with the legend "Made in USA") with -on the outside- a Japanese lyric booklet and a Japanese Obi which states "ASSEMBLED IN JAPAN. | Yes's Masterpiece .1974-1976 Was the pinnacle of the art/prog/fusion period. During these years each major band created their most complicated, creative, sublime, and epic work, their rite-of-spring. By Mark (Newport Beach, CA) This review is for a different format. |
| Masterpiece of Progressive Rock There have been many phenomenal progressive rock albums over the years from Yes, EL&P, King Crimson, early 70's Genesis, and even today's best bands, like Dream Theater and Pain of Salvation; but Relayer has to be number one. | Give it up, already! I have been a Yes fan since they began, in the late 60's. I cannot understand this remaster after remaster. Someone is making big bucks and it isn't me. By daran.home (Bayonne, NJ, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| YES - Five Man Orchestra Yes is one of my all time favorite bands and Relayer is their absolute best! Creativity originality is un-measurable. This disc should have been the main music for the Lord Of The Rings trilogy movies. By last_child420 (New Bedford, MA, USA) This review is for a different format. |
