A shining example of the Hollywood summer blockbuster at its best, TRANSFORMERS combines stunning CGI effects and thrilling action sequences with drama, humor, and a touch of romance. Featuring a large cast that includes Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, John Turturro, Anthony Anderson, and Rachael Taylor, the film is anchored by LaBeouf, who always displays an engaging Everyman charm, whether he's running from colossal robots, interacting with his well-meaning parents (hilariously played by Kevin Dunn and Julie White), or pining for his gorgeous classmate (Megan Fox). Transformers Movie Review  sleeper
I have watched the cartoon and when I saw the commercial for this movie it was advertised as a all out war. but when I watched it, it wasn't you don't see the robots fight in till the VERY! end and even then it follows Shia LaBeouf around the city. I was expecting a lot more then what I got. If you buy this movie looking for a all out robot fight and not some teen humor that would have been funny when you where 12 then stay away from here. I am not being hard on this movie but lets say I go to AVP2 I am expecting them to fight and kill each other and not just a showdown at the end.

just very disapointed
a big fan of the cartoon, very disapointed with this, movie? it looked more like a two hour hip-hop music video; just lights and noise. the story (the all spark? what the * is that) the humor wasn't funny. there's talk of #2 i hope they get brian singer to direct it. very disapointed in you spielbergo.

I purchased the blu ray version and shpowed it at home for the first time on Friday night. I had a group of riends over and the sound + the graphics and the clarity kicked butt!!!

THIS MOVIE IS THE BOMB!!!! THE MOVIE MAY HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF CHANGES FORM THE "ORIGINAL" CARTOON SERIES,BUT YOU MUST ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT THE CARTOON VERSION OF THE MOVIE WAS BASED ON VEHICLES THAT WERE POPULAR BACK IN THE 80'S SUCH AS THE VW BUG. SO, IN ORDER TO GET THE INTREST OF A YOUNGER CROWD INTO SOMETHING FROM THE OLD SCHOOL THE MOVIE PRODUCERS DID THE "RIGHT THING" BY USING "TRICKED-OUT" VERSIONS OR MORE UP TO DATE VERSIONS OF THE ORIGINAL CHARCTERS!

Though HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN director Alfonso Cuaron still holds the crown for best film in the series, David Yates is making an attempt at a coup with HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE. Dark, gleefully funny, and beautifully shot, this adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novel should please fans despite numerous changes to the 650-page source material. In this sixth film in the series, Harry’s (Daniel Radcliffe) inevitable confrontation with the dark wizard Voldemort grows closer, and Hogwarts headmaster Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) wants the young student to be prepared. He guides Harry through a memory of a young Voldemort, but an important moment is missing. Harry must extract this memory from the new Hogwarts teacher, Horace Slughorn (a perfectly slimy Jim Broadbent), who is as eager for fame as he is reluctant to revisit this painful moment. Meanwhile, romance rules the school of witches and wizards, with Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) refusing to admit their feelings for each other. Harry also harbors a secret love of his own: Ron’s younger sister, Ginny (Bonnie Wright). But despite his crush, Harry keeps an eye on Snape (Alan Rickman) and Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), who may be responsible for attacks on the school.
HALF-BLOOD PRINCE deftly balances the humor of Hogwarts heartbreak and the thrills of dark villains attacking the school. The cast is as talented as ever, and the youngest members--Radcliffe, Grint, and Watson--have developed their talent well. However, this film is most remarkable for its fine cinematography from AMELIE director of photography Bruno Delbonnel. Using a muted palette, Delbonnel makes Hogwarts look hauntingly beautiful in a way that fans have never seen. There’s always plenty of fun and adventure in the series, but this entry boasts impressive visuals as well.

NORTH BY NORTHWEST is a suspense thriller that finds Cary Grant in the role of Roger Thornhill, a Manhattan advertising executive mistaken for a spy. Considered by many to be the prototypical pure action movie (creating the template for later James Bond and Indiana Jones films), the film is a cross-country roller-coaster ride with Alfred Hitchcock at the helm. The film is duly famous for several classic and indelible scenes, including the desert biplane encounter and the Mt. Rushmore climax. The original title was THE MAN IN LINCOLN'S NOSE, which was replaced by a reference to a line from William Shakespeare's HAMLET (in which Hamlet says, "I am but mad north-north-west."). The magical combination of Hitchcock and the debonair Grant--who made four wonderful films together--makes NORTH BY NORTHWEST a suspense-filled standout.
When Thornhill finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, the world as he knows it comes to an end. Suddenly danger threatens as the hapless businessman is targeted as an American intelligence agent and set up as a killer. All of Thornhill's attempts to straighten things out only make matters worse--and soon the desperate man is on the run from murderous foreign operatives, the CIA, and the police. The supporting cast, including Eva Marie Saint, James Mason, and Martin Landau, is uniformly excellent.

In addition to battling each other, the doctors must contend with a group of loggers who pose a danger to the village.
Shot in Mexico and Brazil, Director John McTiernan returns to the jungles he burned in his 1987 blockbuster, PREDATOR, and delivers a scenic psychic thriller. Gone is the gore from McTiernan's previous films. Instead he has choses a more humanistic topic, conservation, plus, the sparks between actors Connery and Bracco are more incendiary than any machine gun.

TWILIGHT is based on the first book in the addictive series by author Stephenie Meyer. Director Catherine Hardwicke (THIRTEEN) certainly knows her audience, which is primarily the teenage girls who worship the book and its characters. There are plenty of swoonworthy shots of Pattinson's perfectly pale Edward, and his romance with Stewart's nicely acted Bella will cause many a sigh among the devoted fans. While TWILIGHT is primarily a love story in the ROMEO AND JULIET mold, there's also plenty of action and horror to be found. Blood flows (this is a vampire movie, after all), but the small amount of gore shouldn't be too much for the squeamish viewers--and it might even draw a boy or two to the screen. The film's record-breaking box office take alone is proof that the film's appeal isn't limited to screaming teen girls.
