Soundtrack English; Sensor Matic Mike Myers spoofs the self-help industry with the creation of Guru Pitka, his first original character since Austin Powers. Orphaned at a young age, Maurice (Myers) studies with Guru Tugginmypuddha (Ben Kingsley) at an ashram in India where his classmate is a young Deepak Chopra. Pitka becomes a world-renowned guru in his own right, but despite his best efforts, he repeatedly comes in second to Chopra in the guru rankings. But his manager has a plan: the only difference between Pitka and Chopra is that the latter has appeared on THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW. Pitka's key to an Oprah show appearance is Darren Roanoke (Romany Malco), star player of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team. Estranged from his wife, Prudence (Meagan Good), who has started dating French-Canadian Jacques "Le Coq" Grande (Justin Timberlake), Roanoke's game has suffered terribly, putting his team's bid for the playoffs and the Stanley Cup in jeopardy. If Pitka can reunite the estranged couple in time for Roanoke to help win the Stanley Cup, he'll get more than just a big paycheck; he'll finally be on Oprah.
Myers created Guru Pitka after embarking on his own spiritual search following the death of his father. He counts Chopra, who appears briefly in the film, as a personal friend. Jessica Alba stars as the owner of the Maple Leafs, and Verne Troyer is their coach. Playing sportscasters, Stephen Colbert and Jim Gaffigan share some of the film's funniest moments, while Timberlake holds his own on the comic front. Watch for brief appearances from Jessica Simpson, Val Kilmer, Mariska Hargitay (whose name Pitka co-opts as his greeting), Kanye West, and even Myers himself. Love Guru Movie Review  A Funny Movie!
I thought that The Love Guru was Mike Myers best comedies since the three Austin Powers and the two Wayne's World movies. Mike Myers was so funny in it where every scene he will make you laugh. I hope they make a sequel from this movie. Just like they did to the Shrek trilogy movies Myers did.

Hilarious!
I dont know what the hell the last guy is talking about because this movie is hilarious if ur a fan of Myers, seriously its his best comedy since the Austin Powers movies. Definitely worth buying it.

As good as Mike Myers is, he can also be annoying. I was greatly disappointed with this movie for 2 reasons. First off, Mike is more annoying than funny. Second, the jokes are so stupid that their not funny. Bottom Line: with only a few laughs the Love Guru is a failure.

THE PROPOSAL could have been a strictly script-by-numbers affair, but hilarious performances by Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds improve this romantic comedy. Publishing powerhouse Margaret Tate (Bullock, TWO WEEKS NOTICE) is used to getting her way. She bullies her ambitious assistant, Andrew Paxton (Reynolds, DEFINITELY, MAYBE), earning the ire of all the underlings at Colden Books in New York City. But Margaret, a native Canadian, finds her career in jeopardy when she is denied a visa and learns she will be sent northward. She forces Andrew to become her fiancé, but she’ll have to take a trip home to Alaska with him to prove to U.S. Immigration that their impending union is genuine.
What ensues is a combination of GREEN CARD, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, and GREEN ACRES, with the hell-in-heels boss trying to fake a romance with her assistant as she struggles to survive as a city girl in the country. However, THE PROPOSAL proves to be more than the sum of its parts; Bullock has been one of Julia Roberts’s successors to the America’s-sweetheart crown since she starred in SPEED, but this comedy has her challenging her image with hilarious ease. Reynolds--who could be just window-dressing with his good looks and easy charm--is an excellent foil who is just as adept with sarcasm as he is with a smile. The two stars are supported by an impressive cast, including Betty White as Andrew’s scheming 90-year-old grandmother, Craig T. Nelson as his disappointed father, and THE OFFICE’s Oscar Nunez as an ubiquitous resident of his hometown. THE PROPOSAL may offer few surprises in the way of plot, but the on-screen talent keeps the film feeling fresh.

In the vein of FREAKY FRIDAY, PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED, 13 GOING ON 30, and other "switch" comedies, 17 AGAIN answers the fantasies of disgruntled middle-aged parents everywhere, as high school basketball star turned average failure of a dad Mike O'Donnell (Matthew Perry) gets to begin again at age 17 (where--bonus!--he's played by Zac Efron). A strangely IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE-style freak storm sends his body back through time to age 17, and since he's been living with his nerdy zillionaire buddy (Thomas Lennon) after being kicked out of the house by his wife, Scarlet (Leslie Mann), she and their kids (Michelle Trachtenberg and Sterling Knight) aren't privy to the change, enabling Mike to be covert father while posing as a high school student, and to tempt his wife into quasi-cougardom. The temptation never gets too far, thank heavens, for Efron belongs not to any one woman but to all the girls enraptured by his star turn in HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. He's the reason to see the film and he clearly has great fun playing someone much older and squarer than himself (the idea that he will eventually become Perry again is allowed to carry its own melancholy existential charge). Directed by Burr Steers (IGBY GOES DOWN), this is breezy fun for the whole crazy family, with a soundtrack that includes new and classic songs from the likes of Cat Power, Santogold, Kenny Loggins, and Young M.C.
