Eddie van halen is the new Axl Rose.
i really love the concept of this album and respect every member of this band. its an all star cast as we all know. overall, its a great rock album. joe blows away eddie when it comes to lead, 2 members from van halen, and a better drummer also i think. i'll give eddie van halen full credit for destroying one of the best bands. anyway, its good to see some of the members get together, make awesome music, and have fun doing it how a real rock band should. no dictators were allowed on this record..lol.

Straight Up Kickin' Rock
When I first heard of these guys getting together, I was excited and curious. It is straight up Rock and after the third listen, I like it a lot. Being a big fan of Joe's, I felt like he was holding back a bit but he is doing a band thing not his solo shred. Rock On Chickenfoot!

Time to Move On!
In this time, when you don't hear real rock on radio anymore, this is great. Original music with the ultimate test - you either like it or you don't.
Forget what groups they came from. They are accomplished musicians and it shows.
I'm glad Sammy & Michael Anthony have moved on and found some people to rock!
Maybe, Eddie will learn from this one day.

Better Than Expected
I personally think this is better overall than EVERY Van Halen album with Hagar.
I have always felt Satriani a superior guitar player and he really shines in this - I think his first rock cd?
Listen twice - listen with headphones and have a blast.

WHAT'S A "CHICKENFOOT"? -- A GREAT ROCK BAND, THAT'S WHAT!!!
I don't know where the name "Chickenfoot" came from, and it doesn't matter after hearing this fantastic disc on my first listen. This is as good as anything Sammy Hagar has ever put out, and that's saying a lot considering all that he has done throughout his solo career, with Montrose, with Van Halen, with HSAS, with the Wabos, etc. This disc cooks!!! My favorite rocker song on this so far is "My Kinda Girl" -- It sounds like it would be cheesy, but it is anything but!!! There isn't a bad track here. If you are a Sammy Hagar fan you will love it, and if you are not (see the one-star review) then you will not probably not give this much of a chance. And this is just not about Hagar -- the entire band rocks, from J. Satriani (great classic rock riffs), to M. Anthony (he really is an exciting bass player), to C. Smith (great rock druming). This band needs to stick together if they are going to continue rocking like this!!! By the way, lets all get over trying to compare them to Led Zeppelin -- Led Zeppelin is Led Zeppelin with entirely different type of music, and Chickenfoot is simply good time hard rock, a band who have now started their own legacy. I am looking forward to my second listen!!!
