Chickenfoot songs Product Information
Chickenfoot album for sale by Chickenfoot was released Jun 05, 2009 on the Redline label. In true old-school "supergroup" fashion, Chickenfoot is a hard-rock dream team. Composed of vocalist Sammy Hagar (Montrose, Van Halen), bassist Michael Anthony (Van Halen), drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, the combo grew out of a few impromptu jams, but the combination was judged strong enough to record an album and go on tour. Chickenfoot CD music contains a single disc with 11 songs. ...See Full Description

||Time to Move On!|
In this time, when you don't hear real rock on radio anymore, this is great. Original music with the ultimate test - you either like it or you don't. Forget what groups they came from. They are accomplished musicians and it shows. I'm glad Sammy & Michael Anthony have moved on and found some people to rock! Maybe, Eddie will learn from this one day.

||Straight Up Kickin' Rock|
When I first heard of these guys getting together, I was excited and curious. It is straight up Rock and after the third listen, I like it a lot. Being a big fan of Joe's, I felt like he was holding back a bit but he is doing a band thing not his solo shred. Rock On Chickenfoot!

||Best new Rock in years|
This album is one of the best straight ahead Rock albums in years. It really does completely kick A**. Call it hard rock, classic rock, whatever, it is just good upbeat music. Sammy is better without Eddie. Sorry VH fans.

||Better Than Expected|
I personally think this is better overall than EVERY Van Halen album with Hagar. I have always felt Satriani a superior guitar player and he really shines in this - I think his first rock cd? Listen twice - listen with headphones and have a blast.

Better than I expected...I bought the cd just because I saw the lineup, and I liked it since the first time I heard it...Of course there's gonna be influences from the bands and records this guys played before, but the sound is crystal...Buy it!

||Not cRAP or HIP HOP that's for sure!!!|
With all of the "crap studio releases" from "Rock bands" in 2009 this one smokes...and knowing Sammy it's one he want you to "smoke" to. Get it if you love Sammy, Joe, great drumming(Chad Smith), or those Michael Anthony harmonies that the last Van Halen tour with Roth was lacking.

||Eddie van halen is the new Axl Rose.|
i really love the concept of this album and respect every member of this band. its an all star cast as we all know. overall, its a great rock album. joe blows away eddie when it comes to lead, 2 members from van halen, and a better drummer also i think. i'll give eddie van halen full credit for destroying one of the best bands. anyway, its good to see some of the members get together, make awesome music, and have fun doing it how a real rock band should. no dictators were allowed on this record..lol.

||WHAT'S A "CHICKENFOOT"? -- A GREAT ROCK BAND, THAT'S WHAT!!!|
I don't know where the name "Chickenfoot" came from, and it doesn't matter after hearing this fantastic disc on my first listen. This is as good as anything Sammy Hagar has ever put out, and that's saying a lot considering all that he has done throughout his solo career, with Montrose, with Van Halen, with HSAS, with the Wabos, etc. This disc cooks!!! My favorite rocker song on this so far is "My Kinda Girl" -- It sounds like it would be cheesy, but it is anything but!!! There isn't a bad track here. If you are a Sammy Hagar fan you will love it, and if you are not (see the one-star review) then you will not probably not give this much of a chance. And this is just not about Hagar -- the entire band rocks, from J. Satriani (great classic rock riffs), to M. Anthony (he really is an exciting bass player), to C. Smith (great rock druming). This band needs to stick together if they are going to continue rocking like this!!! By the way, lets all get over trying to compare them to Led Zeppelin -- Led Zeppelin is Led Zeppelin with entirely different type of music, and Chickenfoot is simply good time hard rock, a band who have now started their own legacy. I am looking forward to my second listen!!!

||Best of both worlds, honey I know what it's worth|
To the gent, rusher, dig a little deeper into your music repertoire and you'll see just how brilliant this album is. Satch-esque rhythms and Sammy sounds like his Montrose days. Very solid mix of styles. I love Satch's solo stuff but he should have done this years ago. Stellar line-up, stellar tunes. - Mike Y PHX

||Tired Of Eddie|
Got it today and am impressed, like other reviews glad to hear some good ROCK-N-Roll. I am so sick of Eddie Van Halen and his ego. Listening to this c.d. you can tell these guys just wanna ROCK! Meantime Van Halen is living in the past, great idea replace a great bass player with DADDY'S BOY! You know V.H. wont last with D.L.R. two (too) many ego's there. ROCK ON CHICKENFOOT!

This is the most anticipated album in years! It lives up to all the hype, and then some. Every song smokes from top to bottom. I was like a little kid opening an Xmas gift when the CD arrived in the mail. Michael Anthony sounds terrific. I never noticed how great a bass player he truly is. Satriani sounds rejuvenated. Sammy sounds incredible for a man his age. Buy this CD now!!!!

too many of these super groups, there is only one super group, van halen with david lee roth, just average, wait for encore, this album will surely blow everything away, with dave back, they have originality, not a mix of different bands, van halen is original and nothing will ever come close to them,

Could have been much better. Nothing really memorable here.

Bought this album b/c I have been a Hagar fan since about age of 5, however I am like everyone when it comes to so called supergroups a'la vh1 & their junky TV shows and of course the Hellyeah supergroup. However this album is worth the price and it is basically a Van-hagar album for 2009 and it is alot better than sammy last solo release which I thought was awful and I couldn't even get passed the second track of it. This is a must buy period and to those whom don't like it you must not like great rock music.

Simply put, pure garbage. Sammy said this new music rivals Led Zeppelin's sounds and guitar riffs. I can't believe these 4 amazingly talented musicians put forth such a wasted effort. Saw them live and was bored to tears(lucky I didn't pay for the tickets.) Poor songwriting, crap production.
