$15.19 A Message from Di..Welcome to my first recording, an introduction to me and my music, I hope you will enjoy it.Something about meI grew up in Guangzhou southern China, a city close to the sea. My parents bought me my first piano when I was just 2 years old, not a common thing in the China of the 80's. My dad had to sell his motorbike to raise the funds. Once a week from the age of four, bereft of motorbike and whatever the weather, my father carried me on his bicycle for 45 minutes to get me to my piano lessons. Things I like to do:I love to travel and my piano has taken me to many interesting places around the world. I am very grateful that my art has given me the opportunity to become well travelled . I have a great passion for life and I like to give everything a go. After all, life is an adventure or it is nothing at all. I love challenges and in 2004 I reached Everest base camp at 5300 meters altitude and, more recently, I have had my first flying and horse riding lessons. Dreams, Drives and goalsI am a dreamer, I believe that dreams can come true and I am working very hard to turn mine in to reality. What is my goal in life? I want to let people know how amazing the world is through my music. I want to introduce people, young and old, from around the world to the beauty of music and to become the ambassador ...

This album of lovely melodies and violin showpieces is a labor of love and is dedicated to my dear father, the Singaporean Chinese violinist Siow Hee-Shun, who is also my very first violin teacher, and still an ever-supportive mentor. Music has always been in my family. My younger brothers and I grew up in a loving atmosphere filled with music, and it was only classical music. My father, who became a pioneer violinist in the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, is a quiet and modest man. My father never marketed himself, but believed in an honest work ...
