Romantic Warrior album for sale Product Description
Romantic Warrior album for sale by Return To Forever was released Oct 18, 1999 on the Legacy label. By the time Return to Forever's ROMANTIC WARRIOR lineup coalesced, the group was very much a partnership between all four members. By 1976, with increased reliance on Corea's banks of analog synthesizers and Al Dimeola's searing electric guitar, the quartet had arrived at a musical crossroads that was more closely aligned with "progressive" ensembles of the day like Hands or Happy The Man than with real rockers or jazzmen. Romantic Warrior CD music contains a single disc. ...See Full Description

| One of the great albums Romantic Warrior album for sale I saw this band live twice in the early 70's and again on a reunion tour in the mid 80's. Romantic Warrior CD music The music on this album is what I heard back then. No studio overdubbing or other production tricks. I read that the musicians rehearsed the music for a few weeks then recorded it very quickly at the Carabu Ranch in Colorado. I rediscovered this album , and realized I had worn it out. Time to buy it again. By bbarbee15 (Chesapeake, Va) This review is for a different format. |
| Title track: Killer solos at 3:45 and 5:20 Stanley Clark pickin' the bass like a lead and Al Dimeola pickin' lead ike a mandolin, respectively: Their skill and melodies blow me away. If someone knows another album that comes close to those solos, then I'd buy it in a heart beat. Every member's contemporaneous solo albums are also killers, but this one is the best fusion of them all. By Bill (Double Oak, TX) This review is for a different format. |

Alan Parsons Project Pyramid CD (1978) Top Seller
Romantic Warrior songs Even with six different vocalists lending their talents to the album, Pyramid still remains an average bit of material from the Alan Parsons Project. Not only does the album's theme evolve around the mystique of the pyramid, but it also touches on man's fascination with superstition and its powers. The instrumental "Voyager" opens things up, and its provocative style sets the tone for the album's supernatural mood. The bright-sounding "What Goes Up" is one of the highlights here, as is "The Eagle Will Rise Again," sung by Colin Blunstone. The anxiety-ridden "Pyramania" enhances the album's concept the best, accompanied by some excitable keyboard playing and a friendly middle. The lesson-learning "Can't Take It with You" teaches that our souls are our most important asset, in typical Parsons-type charm. While not a stellar album, Pyramid completes the task of musically explaining its concept. Its short but slightly compelling nature grows after a few listens, but the album itself isn't a necessity. ~ Mike DeGagne
