He has taught music and visual arts in the Little Rock public school district for the last 16 years, first at Booker Arts Magnet elementary, and his current assignment at Washington Magnet elementary school. For many years Brian wrote children's songs for school performances, festivals and plays. | | Raffi Baby Beluga CD (1980)
Where There's Love album
$11.49 Canadian children's performer Raffi brings a gentle, tuneful, and--most importantly--relaxed air to his songs. The faux furry trio was named Alvin, Theodore, and Simon, after executives at Liberty Records, and they've prospered well into the '90s (the franchise continues in the hands of Bagdasarian's son). GREATEST HITS, however, cuts off around 1965. Standout tracks include the still amusing original "Chipmunk Song" and its less well known follow-up "Alvin's Harmonica," plus an original ("Alvin's Twist") cashing on the then-current dance craze, ...

Where There's Love songs
$16.29 After the veritable storm of festering ugliness kicked up by 1996's DOPESICK, the music on New Orleans sludge mongers Eyehategod's follow-up is surprisingly polished. Which is not to say that CONFEDERACY OF RUINED LIVES is anywhere near something that would be played on the radio. It's merely a step away from the harrowing ledge on which the band was standing previously. The production opens up some room for guitarist Jimmy Bowers to slip in some Southern-fried Skynyrd and Allman licks along with the swamp-thick heaviness, and gives the band enough space to establish some formidable grooves. Still, staggering heaps like "Inferior and Full of Anxiety" and the punishingly slow "Blood Money" come crusted ...
