Trigger are a 6-piece original outfit based in the UK, who play melodic yet heavy stadium rock, blending crushing guitar riffs with huge harmonies and anthemic choruses. Our influences include Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Queen, AC/DC, or just about any of the classic stadium rock acts!Trigger were formed in 2003 by eccentric husband-and-wife Dan & Sally Trigger, and the current line-up is completed by brothers Chris Hingley (guitar) and Greg Hingley (drums), along with bassist Adam Bennett and keyboard player Matt Wharton. Interestingly, Dan's surname 'Trigger' is in fact his real name, the name that appears on his birth certificate - we only bring this up, as some have suspected that we have adopted that name purely as a rocking moniker!Since forming, Trigger have recorded 4 albums; 'Call To Arms' (2005), 'Fight The Machine' (2006), 'Dawn Of A New Knight' (2007), and our most recent work 'Furious Times' (2009). Our new album 'Furious Times' was entirely recorded at home, with no professional studios or engineers being used to enhance the sound. On the plus side, this gave us total control over the hefty sound we wanted, but on the downside, producers Dan and Adam were non-smokers when recording began, but are now both 65-a-day men!Trigger have become a regular draw on the UK Midlands gig circuit, where we are one of the busiest live bands despite having work & college commitments. We try to make even our small pub shows as spectacular as possible, and have invested in lighting rigs, laser lights and smoke machines to make every night special. Trigger occasionally hire local theatres where we can put on a full-scale stadium rock show, and this is where the band is most at home. As far as we know, we are the only band that has constructed a 3-metre tall paper mache skull to hang over the stage, and also a 4-metre high Stonehenge replica as a stage set, which works nicely alongside the projection images and pyrotechnics. Our philosophy is that there should be nothing subtle or understated about a rock show, and our audiences certainly don't forget ours in a hurry!Other successes that Trigger have enjoyed include having a song used in a film, appearing on National radio, having previous albums reviewed in National 'Classic Rock' and 'Rhythm' magazines, and playing to an audience of 22,000 at an open air festival in our area. $11.89 BY A THREAD is Gov't Mule's first studio album since HIGH & MIGHTY was issued in 2006. Since that time, bassist Andy Hess has been replaced by Jorgen Carlsson, though Hess appears on two tracks at the end of the album. Carlsson's playing style is much more aggressive than Hess', and is therefore closer - in spirit anyway - to Gov't Mule's original bassist, the late Allen Woody, though he possesses an adventurous sense of time and is harmonically more colorful than either ...

$12.49 Leslie Clemmons - Stopping the World With Heavenly Vocals By: MuzikMan (Associate Writer,Musicdish ) 2003-12-09 Leslie Clemmons ( leslieclemmonsmusic ) is ready to Stop The World with her new release. She has constructed eleven fine songs that give the listener a varied palette of musical colors. If it is jazz, pop, rock, or all of the above, Clemmons uses her voice to mold and shape every song around the instruments with a perfection rarely found in today's endless void of watered down Britney Spears-like main stream hits.Stop The World also reflects some stylistic influences that the artist has been exposed to only in the last 5 years like Hip Hop and Contemporary Urban music, such as India Arie, Music Soul Child, and Jill Scott. While the new album is not a lavishly produced affair, it is a crisp, clear and unpretentious unadulterated musical box of fun that calls out to you, giving your heart a jump-start whether it wants it or not. I found her vocal style energizing, endearing and sultry all at the same time. A very appealing combination if I do say so myself. Admittedly, if I had the choice, I would rather rock out more than anything, and the album does have its moments in that area. I certainly can appreciate tasteful and well-done music as I found on Stop The World. When music is performed with the utmost attention to professionalism and there are lyrics that make me think and reflect upon my own life, I really pay attention. Music can be the best mirror of our humanity and Clemmons has a knack of reflecting that very well in every song she performs. Clemmons also has very good taste. I really enjoyed her version of Carole King's "So Far Away." Tapestry has held up very well over the years and remains one of the greatest pop-rock albums ever recorded by a female vocalist. I can see how such a moving album may have inspired Clemmons and many other women over the years. The fact that she aspires to create similarly well-crafted music, and pays tribute to such a legendary performer as King is an indication of her gratitude and respect for her many inspirations. Leslie Clemmons grew up in New Orleans, LA where music was a big part of her life, enjoying performers such as Barbara Streisand, Julie Andrews and Karen Carpenter as well as New Orleans legends Wolfman Jack and The Neville Brothers. Leslie ...
