Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; English Subtitles; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Amaray Case After capturing and prosecuting a brutal serial killer, detective John Hobbes is puzzled by a string of bizarre murders that seem to suggest that the killer is alive--or at least somehow present on Earth. With the help of a beautiful theosophist and his stalwart partner, Hobbes realizes that the killer's spirit is being transferred between the bodies it possesses--and that it may be impossible to stop him now. Fallen Reviews: "...A stylish and expertly paced blend of autumnal atmosphere and compelling characterisation..."
-- Andrew O'Hehir, Sight and Sound "...With the warmly engaging presence of Mr. Washington...and with a brooding and literate noir screenplay by Nicholas Kazan, FALLEN was directed by Gregory Hoblit with the same dark intensity of his earlier feature PRIMAL FEAR..."
-- Janet Maslin, New York Times "...The payoff at the end of the road is a gem....It's a crafty piece of work..."
-- Jack Mathews, Los Angeles Times "...It never slips down into easy shock tactics. Kazan writes plausible, literate dialogue and Hoblit creates a realistic world..."

$10.25 Sturgess has the voice, charm, and good looks to fill Shea Stadium with hordes of screaming young women. As Jude, he's earnest and certainly capable of carrying the film. Wood capably balances Lucy's naiveté and knowledge, easily moving between her love for Jude and her passion for her cause. Though the performances are strong, it's Taymor's gifted direction that makes ACROSS THE UNIVERSE so fascinating to watch. As in FRIDA and Broadway's THE LION KING, she proves herself an artist with creativity few can match. Director of photography Bruno Delbonnel also deserves praise for his contribution to the striking visuals. He has worked with Jean-Pierre Jeunet on AMELIE and A VERY LONG ENGAGEMENT, and he brings the same sense of romance and whimsy to this unique musical.
Closed Captioned; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles
The Beatles' songs may have provided the soundtrack for the lives of those coming of age in the 1960s, but their extensive catalogue acts as the literal soundtrack in this romantic musical from visionary director Julie Taymor. Newcomer Jim Sturgess stars as Jude, a young man working on the docks in Liverpool. Eager to escape, he travels to Princeton where he meets Max (Joe Anderson). But it's his meeting with Max's younger sister Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood) that changes him. They quickly fall in love, but their relationship is tested by the chaos of the late 1960s and Max's unwilling tour in Vietnam. ...

Fallen video
$9.69 FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS is a whirlwind of a movie, a wacky, drug-laden story backed by a fist-pumping rock & roll soundtrack featuring everything from Wayne Newton and Tom Jones to Combustible Edison and Dead Kennedys. Journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) heads to Las Vegas to cover a motorcycle race, bringing along his Samoan lawyer, Dr. Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro), in this furious adaptation of the book by Hunter S. Thompson. It is 1971, and Duke and Gonzo are on their way to Sin City with a frightened hitchhiker (a nearly unrecognizable Tobey Maguire) and a trunkful of drugs, which they ingest nonstop. Depp is terrific as Duke, Thompson's alter ego, and Del Toro is a riot as the crazy lawyer. To perfect his Thompsonian performance, Depp spent a lot of time with the good doctor, and it paid off in a film that captures the frenetic pace of the counterculture novel. Director Terry Gilliam, a master of complex, bizarre visual ...
