Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Amaray Case Based (loosely) on the 1960s Robert Conrad television vehicle, WILD WILD WEST is a classic buddy film: One man relies solely on his guns (or fists), while the other relies on intellect. James West (Will Smith) is a man of action, a Civil War hero, a ladies' man. Artemus Gordon (Kevin Kline) is a wacky inventor and master of disguise. President Ulysses S. Grant (also played by Kevin Kline, in a dual performance) forces the two to team up to save the world's leading scientists, who have been kidnapped by evil madman Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh). Barry Sonnenfeld is reunited with his MEN IN BLACK star Will Smith in this gadget-soaked romp based (loosely) on the 1960s television show. WILD WILD WEST supplies many impressive visuals (thanks to brilliant production designer Bo Welch) and some hearty laughs. Will Smith is James West, a Civil War hero and U.S. marshal inclined to shoot first and ask questions later. His partner is the wacky inventor and pseudointellectual Artemus Gordon (Kevin Kline). The team is created when the world's leading scientists are kidnapped by a diabolical madman named Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh), and President Ulysses S. Grant (also played by Kevin Kline) wants his two best men on the job. Loveless's machines have the creepy fun feeling of EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (Welch again)--many of them have a spider motif--and Artemus Gordon rivals him with his own fun inventions. An odd but enjoyable blend of science fiction and old-school Western, WILD WILD WEST is packed with cool images and slick action sequences. Despite the film's period setting, when President Grant is pounding in the railroad spike there is a clear shot of the U.S. flag in the background. The flag has all 50 stars on it. Wild Wild West Reviews: "...Smith brings charm and confidence to his role..."
-- L.J. Strom, Box Office "...Crammed full of outrageous visual effects and careening camerawork that has made Barry Sonnenfeld justly famous..."

Wild Wild West Movie Review A LITTLE TOO SILLY FOR ME...... ....THOUGH SOME OF PHYSICAL COMEDY WAS OKAY I THOUGHT THE MOVIE BORDERED ON THE TOO SILLY SIDE AND THOUGH COMEDY IS A GOOD MIX IN A MOVIE LIKE THIS I THOUGHT ANOTHER JAMES WEST WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE APPROPRIATE...MAYBE CHARLIE SHEEN. SMITH WAS OK BUT AS A FAN OF THE OLD TV SHOW I THOUGHT THIS WAS A BAD MOVE. I AGREE WITH ANOTHER REVIEWER HERE...THIS MOVIE HAD ME THINKING OF ANOTHER "COMEDY MOVIE" WITH "RAZZI" WRITTEN ALL OVER IT...THE SECOND "CHARLIES ANGELS".I GIVE IT 2 STARS. THIS MOVIE WAS A DISGRACE TO THE SHOW IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN THIS MOVIE MINUS 5 STARS THAT IS WHAT IT WOULD GET. A SILLY MOVIE ALL THE WAY AROUND. JUST A FINAL INSULT TO A SHOW THAT NEVER REALLY GOT THE RECOGNITION IT SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO START WITH. WHAT AN INSULT THIS MOVIE WAS TO GREAT STARS LIKE ROBERT CONRAD AND ROSS MARTIN. A BLACK JAMES WEST??? ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS!!! I LIKE WILL SMITH BUT THIS WAS NOT HIS ROLE AT ALL.ANYBODY THAT IS A REAL FAN OF THE SHOW WOULD KNOW THIS. THIS MOVIE FLOPPED AT THE BOX OFFICE AS I KNEW IT WOULD WHEN I HEARD THEY WERE GOING TO STRAY FROM IT'S ORIGINAL FORMAT OR STORY AND CAST COMEDY ACTORS. WHEN I SEE THIS TERRIBLE MOVIE I AM THINKING CHARLIES ANGELS. HOLLYWOOD ...WHERE WERE YOUR BRAINS WHEN YOU PUT THESE MOVIES TOGETHER???? THIS MOVIE , THESE MOVIES HIGHLY NOT RECCOMMENDED...AT ALL!!!! WORST MOVIE EVER!!!! (worse than even Batman & Robin!) My God! Never has a movie been so bad that I wanted to crawl under my seat to get away from it. Fans of the original series would scream in horror if they saw this (No, not even to find out how bad should you rent, buy or watch this film). I'm all for films so bad they are fun, but not with this one... PAINFUL is the watch word here. I cannot stress enough not to bother with this film. You know you are in trouble when a film tries to be clever and just is so wrong it's insulting to the audience. When this film is not being ugly, or cring-worthy, it's just plain dumb. Total mis-use of the original idea, the actors, and the enormous budget wasted all in one film. Oh, and I give it zero stars, a complete waste of your time and money. $10.99 For his fourth directorial feature in the span of two years, Clint Eastwood tells the story of a grizzled Korean War vet's reluctant friendship with a Hmong teenage boy and his immigrant family. Set in contemporary Detroit, GRAN TORINO tackles the shifting cultural and economic landscape of not only the Motor City, but America as well. Eastwood stars as Walt Kowalski, an unabashed bigot who never heard a racial insult he didn't love. Bitter, haunted, and full of pride, Walt refuses to abandon the neighborhood he's lived in for decades despite its changing demographics as he clings desperately to a mindset long since out of step with the times. When his Hmong neighbor Thao tries to steal his prized muscle car as part of a gang initiation, Walt is forced to grapple with the world around him.
GRAN TORINO's approach to the complicated issue of race relations is equal parts Archie Bunker and CRASH. That is to say, there is nothing subtle about Walt's bigotry, yet his misanthropy knows no bounds, and Eastwood does a remarkable job of finding the humor in Walt's equal opportunity racism. More than simply a racial morality tale, however, GRAN TORINO is ...

$23.35 High school romance is difficult enough to navigate when both people are human. But for 17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart, INTO THE WILD) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE), Edward's life as a vampire complicates things even more. At first, when Bella moves from sunny Phoenix to the rainiest corner of Washington State, she isn't sure where she fits in at her new high school. Then she meets Edward, an ethereal beauty of a boy whose unnatural speed and strength lead Bella to the conclusion that her new crush is one of the undead. Suddenly, Bella's boring life is transformed; she's surrounded by love and danger in equal parts, thanks to the hunger of Edward and others of his kind.
TWILIGHT is based on the first book in the addictive series by author Stephenie Meyer. Director Catherine Hardwicke (THIRTEEN) certainly knows her audience, which is primarily the teenage girls who worship ...

$27.34 Dan Brown’s novels are packed with fascinating historical tidbits which he ingeniously twists into plots that are so intricate and complex that there is a constant need to inform the reader with exposition, often leaving little room for character development. There is a bit of this stilted quality to ANGELS AND DEMONS, the second of Brown’s novels to be brought to the big screen by the tandem ...
