Take Me Like I Am album
$12.15 The Illness of Love is an album for those who like good music, regardless of genre. The album is an interesting mash-up of both eclectic and traditional sounds from Rock to Hip-Hop to Oriental. As an artist, Evrim wants to bring the word \"Pop\" out of the gutter and to add the ART back into the \"Pop ARTist\".----------------------------------------------------About the ArtistBorn in Istanbul, Turkey but raised in Houston, Texas, EVRiM is a \"Rebel Pop\" artist with a break-through feel to her music. EVRiM’s music can be best described as “Electronically-Produced Electro Rebel-Pop” with infusions of Dance, New Wave, Electronica, Rock, World, Hip-Hop, Oriental and more.Shortly after moving from Istanbul to Houston at age three, EVRiM began performing a popular Turkish song, Uskudar, for small parties. By twelve, she could sight read music, including pieces from Mozart. At eleven, she began creating her own music and by fourteen was writing full-on songs for a friend’s band. During her middle and high school years, EVRiM produced and performed her own shows, sang for four ...

| | Jim Bows & The Flycatchers Too Many Flies CD (2009)
Take Me Like I Am CD music
$16.45 “Too Many Flies“ is a collection of 15 original instrumentals loosely based on the bluegrass and country styles of artists such as Chet Atkins & Albert Lee. When playing live, Jim is joined on stage by his two eldest sons (Benji on Guitar and Josh on Double Bass) however on the CD every instrument was played by Jim.Jim Bows is the quintessential professional guitarist with great technique, feel and eclectic taste. Although he is primarily known for his work on the electric guitar with the bluesrock band Chickenhouse and the countryrock band Dusty Boots in his adopted home Switzerland, he has always had a love of acoustic music. With this new CD he has left the amp in the flightcase brought out the faithful old acoustic guitar and given it a serious finger workout. Lots of references here. Try the appalachian cool of "Blue Mountain Trail", the Irish spirit of the "Whipcrack Jig" and the sheer hillbilly fun of "Carolina Hayride". Music that brings a smile to your face and sets your toes a tapping. Too Many FliesIt is the perfect summers day. Breakfast is over and I am sitting in the dining room with my acoustic guitar writing songs. All is well with the world until suddenly a fly lands on my right hand. It must really like me because despite my strumming this fly refuses to leave. This is annoying. I brush it away and continue playing. It comes back again and again. Why dosen’t this flyunderstand? I don’t want it on my hand or anywhere near me. The minutes go by and my frustration grows until there is only one thing to do. The fly must die. I reach for the newspaper and take aim. Bullseye, I get it on the first attempt. An immediate sense of relief and calm descends upon me. At last I can continue with my work undisturbed by this flying tension-bomb. I pick up the guitar and play a few bars. However there is now a second fly. This one has the same unrelenting interest in me as the first. No-more ...
