Julio Iglesias El Amor CD (1975) Top Seller
Body and Soul of Tom Jones/Tom Jones Sings She's a Lady CD music This album is Julio Iglesias at his best. After the good effort put forth on his previous album, A Flor de Piel, he created this romantic masterpiece. Iglesias was trying to conquer the world, and he put his body and soul into it. It contains some hits, like "A Veces Tú, a Veces Yo," "Abrazame," and his version of the traditional "Jeuxs Interdit," renamed "Quiero." Iglesias included two covers -- George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" and Barry White's "Love Theme" -- both sung in English. The album was produced by his longtime collaborator, Rafael Ferro, and is a must-have for any Latin pop ...

Nancy Sinatra Country, My Way CD (1967)
Body and Soul of Tom Jones/Tom Jones Sings She's a Lady album for sale COUNTRY, MY WAY was recorded in Nashville with many of the same musicians who would appear some months later on Bob Dylan's BLONDE ON BLONDE. "Jackson" is performed as a duet with her legendary sepulchural producer Lee Hazlewood as is Don Gibson's "Oh Lonesome Me." For good measure, Sinatra also finds the time to out Skeet Skeeter Davis on a poignant version of the classic "End of the World."
Personnel: Nancy Sinatra (vocals); Dolores Edgin, Delores Edgin, Ricky Page, Joe Babcock (vocals); Billy Strange (guitar); Charlie McCoy (harmonica, vibraphone); David Briggs (piano); Buck Trent (electric piano); Buddy Harmon (drums).

Close Up/Tom CD (2009)
Body and Soul of Tom Jones/Tom Jones Sings She's a Lady songs This August 2009 release from Vocalion combines two Tom Jones albums on a single CD, beginning with Close Up from 1972 and concluding with Tom, originally issued in 1970. Close Up was Jones' first album to not go gold since Green, Green Grass of Home, and given the inconsistent quality of the material and performances, it's easy to see why the record was only a minor hit. Many songs were either cutesy or vapid, and occasionally (such as "Young New Mexican Puppeteer" and "Witch Queen of New Orleans") they were both, although the hit single "Till" was a fine MOR ballad. However, Tom, from two years previously, had continued Jones' turn-of-the-decade winning streak, climbing to number six on the album charts. Featuring a set of R&B covers ("I Can't Turn You Loose," "I Thank You," "Proud Mary") and pop confections ("Sugar, Sugar") that were too bombastic to be enjoyable, Tom wasn't as strong as his previous studio collection (This Is Tom Jones), but when Jones delivered ballads like "The Impossible Dream" and the hit "Without Love," the record kicked into high gear, as his delivery matched the material as well as the arrangements. Vocalion's Close Up/Tom also includes the single "Looking Out My Window"/"A Minute of Your Time" as a bonus. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
