| Fear of Fiction is an indie film classic! One of the reasons I bought Fear of Fiction is that it had Sam Trammell from HBO's True Blood, and Melissa Leo from Frozen River. I later found out that this is Sam Trammell's first starring feature film role, and it finally got released on DVD! The movie is about a woman(Leo) who answers an ad in a newspaper placed by Red(Sam Trammell) to go across the country to try to clear her mind of writer's block. This is an unforgettable story about an odd couple making a cross country trip with a shocker of an ending! That's why I believe this film is a true indie film classic. Penn Jillette from Penn and Teller makes an great appearance as a speed out junkie who listens and loves 60's garage music, and was a great from the get go. There is also some great Penn Jillette outtakes in the special features that are funny and amusing. It also has music from Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth, and Evan Lurie from the Lounge Lizards. | Questionable film... I mean that title only in the fact that it makes you ask questions. That's always a good sign in movies. It leaves myriad doors open, and begs to be watched again. An almost A-list cast stars Oscar nominee Melissa Leo, comedian Penn Jillette, and Sam Trammell of True Blood. The movie couldn't be described in one word, but if forced to choose an adequate one, I would say intriguing. It's finally available on Amazon, and definitely worth picking up.
