Jack Bruce & Robin Trower: Seven Moons Live DVD

 Trower good, Bruce not so much.
It's great to hear Robin playing new material. There are a lot of live recordings of him, but many of them are from concerts with similar set lists. I'm not a big Jack Bruce fan and thought the BLT album was one of Robin's weaker recordings. The song writing on this DVD is sub-par and Jack's voice begins to grate after the first few songs. It was interesting to see Robin take on Clapton's roll on Sunshine and White Room, although he seemed out of place on the former. I'll probably watch this DVD once or twice more, but the Living Out Of Time DVD will remain my first choice when I'm in a Trower watching mood.

 A REAL TREAT
ITS GREAT TO HEAR 7 MOONS LIVE AND TROWER DOING SONGS LIKE SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE WHITE ROOM ETC JACK BRUCE IS GREAT THOSE TWO BELONG TOGETHER MUST SEE VIDEO QUALITY IS EXCELLENT

 A Concert to Remember
Robin has always been a favorite of mine. His music and his playing come from somewhere deep inside. A place most musicians never come close to. And when you pair him with another first class musician Jack Bruce here on this live concert dvd you end up with end pure musical magic. Most of the songs are from 'Seven Moons', the studio recording they did together. There is a good mix of differently paced songs carrying their own variety of moods with them. Robin, Jack, and drummer Gary Husband are all in top form. Robin's playing on three Cream standards 'Sunshine of Your Love', 'White Room', and 'Politician' should make any serious music fan wonder why Clapton has gotten so much press attention and Robin so little. It's a shame Robin can't receive airplay for the music he's producing in recent years. If more people could here it, more would like it, and Robin might approach what he is due. This concert is good from start to finish. I would recommend it to anyone.
