Technical Ecstasy album for sale Product Description

Technical Ecstasy album for sale by Black Sabbath was released Oct 17, 2009 on the Sanctuary label. By the mid-'70s, a number of problems were threatening to break up the original line-up of Black Sabbath. Technical Ecstasy CD music The stress brought on by lengthy touring, drug use, and alcoholism had begun to dilute the band's original, influential heavy metal. Sabbath began to drift away from the straight-ahead power rock of such classic albums as PARANOID and SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH, as evidenced by its final two albums to feature singer Ozzy Osbourne, 1976's TECHNICAL ECSTASY and 1978's NEVER SAY DIE. Technical Ecstasy CD music contains a single disc with 8 songs.   ...See Full Description

still an above average rock album
how come no one ever mentions anything regarding the song "you won't change me"??? that is a great track! period. the band is getting tired and maybe bored at this point...but they willingly experiment a bit with different styles to basically try something different. it is still sabbath...and there are some great tracks on here. whether they sound like the old sabbath or not, they still rock more than most bands today even here ....even as they take chances...

Best album ever
As a real Black Sabbath fan (Ozzy years)I have listened to all the albums over and over again, and this is simply the best. You Wont Change Me is one of their best ever - no real fan dont know that track, its awesome !! The last album Never Say Die shouldnt been released - a stinker.

Listen then judge. Don't believe the bad press.
Duh! It's such a cliche to say that the last two Sabbath albums with Ozzy (of which this is one) are bad. If any other obscure band had released these albums and then disappeared, most people would be asking, "whatever happened to .... they made two great records then split up." Any other bands having songs like 'Dirty Women', 'All Moving Parts' and 'You Won't Change Me' would be hailed as true rock legends on the back of them. Whatever the 'newbies' and casual listeners say, this album and its follow-up, 'Never Say Die' actually contain some of Sabbath's best songs. And that's a fact, whether they like it or not.

One of their best, not as heavy as previous albums, but still a masterpiece

A Keeper
I remember buying this album (8-track) in 1976, and one thing I know is it reached down in my rock & roll soul and had a effect on me. Much like any original Sabbath album TE was a joy to listen to, it moved me on different levels, There's no way I can put this album down...because I'm a true fan of Black Sabbath. This albums is great...especially compaired to todays aweful carbon-copy music that they try and pass-off as rock. This album will always hold a special place for me back in the year 1976, and some 30 years later it still holds up quite well. Rock on!
