Nickelback: Live At Sturgis 2006 video
$10.75 Evening with John Petrucci & Jordan Rudess is an unheralded recording by Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment alumnus John Petrucci, and Jordan Rudess is a unique entry in the Dream Theater family discography. Recorded live in Nyack, New York, the duo performed a mixed set of acoustic and electric (guitar only) compositions. Both players are world-class musicians, but Rudess in particular demonstrates his well-rounded skills, proving why he is an in-demand session player for the likes of David Bowie and Paul Winter. Petrucci too is a fine musician, but lacks the harmonic and rhythmic sophistication to serve as a strong accompanist. This limitation does not prevent the session from being enjoyable, in fact, it is Petrucci's energetic soloing that provides the most excitement. It was obvious that both players had several ideas and styles they wanted to explore, which are done so with restraint and sensitivity. The opening "Furia Taurina" finds Petrucci displaying his DiMeola-like chops on acoustic guitar and ranks as one of his best recorded moments. The most interesting track proves to be "Fife & Drum," which is both technically challenging and musically stimulating. Dream Theater, the band, became successful ...

| | Jeff Beck - Live At Ronnie Scott's Blu-ray (2009)
Nickelback: Live At Sturgis 2006 review
$18.85 When it comes to the pantheon of rock & roll, Jeff Beck is no minor god--the Yardbirds guitarist has spent decades mesmerizing fans with his intricate, unstoppable technique. This 2007 performance, recorded live at Ronnie Scott’s in London, reassures that Beck is still the best: playing to a packed house of diehard fans and celebrities, he breaks off incredible renditions of "People Get Ready," "A Day in the Life," and "Little Brown Bird." The guitar hero is amazing on his own, but the duets included here--with Eric Clapton, Joss Stone, and Imogen Heap--add an extra echelon of electricity and joy.
Jeff Beck has had a limitless career for over 40 years, stretching genres and consistently bringing the guitar to new levels. His guitar prowess will be visually displayed for the first time. This corresponding ...

Nickelback: Live At Sturgis 2006 review
$45.39 Showtime produces a slick, sick series with this darkly comic crime-drama that has audiences rooting for the bad guy. The villain in question is the Dexter of the title (Michael C. Hall), a man whose homicidal tendencies were discovered early in life by his adoptive father (James Remar). His cop father tried to fuel Dexter's unavoidable desires into something good: ridding the world of criminals who have evaded justice. When he's all grown up, Dexter becomes a blood-splatter expert for the Miami P.D., giving him unrestricted access to heinous crimes and those who commit them. But while Dexter dispatches Miami's worst, ...
