Animated; Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles; Deluxe Edition The animation talent of Chuck Jones combined with the delightful prose of the great Dr. Seuss results in a Christmas cartoon classic that will make even the most resolute cynic warm to its sneaky holiday message. Horror icon Boris Karloff supplies the voice of the Grinch, who plans on spitefully ruining Christmas for the town of Whoville by stealing all the presents. It's great, mischievous fun plotting along with this diabolical humbug, and ultimately moving as he warms to the spirit of Christmas. With the talents of Chuck Jones, Boris Karloff, and Dr. Seuss combined, there was almost no way this could be anything but an instant classic. Watched regularly every holiday season and beloved by children and cynical adults alike, this animated gem is just that and more. Boris Karloff narrates and stars as the odious Mr. Grinch, the sinister green monster who plots to steal all the Christmas presents in the town of Whoville. All goes well with his dastardly plan until little Cindy Loo Who (who was no more than two) gums up the works with her innocent Christmas spirit. Jones directed, with Karloff supplying the sweetly sinister narration and voice of the Grinch. The story is from the book by Dr. Seuss. Thurl Ravenscroft (of "Tony the Tiger" breakfast commercial fame) provides the memorable bass singing voice for the tune "You're a Mean One, Mister Grinch." Filled with close attention to comic detail, memorable characterizations, and delightful wordplay, this is essential holiday viewing for the whole family. Television premiere: December 23, 1966.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas Video How The Grinch Stole Christmas Movie Review Classic Tradition In my honest opinion, you can never go wrong with a classic; not to mention the fact that this is a Dr. Seuss classic. I've loved this movie since I was a child. Every year, my mother and I would watch this movie. Now that I'm on my own, I plan on continuing this tradition for as long as I can. This is one of those movies you can watch and never grow tired of. My mother loved it, I love it, and hopefully my future children will love it. One of the Best! The animated "Grinch" and "Charlie Brown Christmas" are the absolute best Christmas specials. I simply cannot imagine anyone but Boris Karloff doing the voice-over for the Grinch - he was perfect! A simple story of the redemption of a sad soul told in a gentle and humorous fashion. How The Grinch Stole Christmas review
$10.29 A bear raised in a human environment, Beary (Haley Joel Osment), is a confused adolescent, despite his loving home. His sanctuary is in a disbanded musical act, the Country Bears, to whom he has a strong connection and is fanatical about. So it is no surprise when Beary runs away to find his real family that he winds up at Country Bear Hall, the landmark site of so many of those memorable Country Bear gigs, now little more than dust and kindling and just days from being demolished by greedy banker Reed Thimple (Christopher Walken). The few Bears who remain prepare to move away from their hall and their Kentucky bluegrass. That is, until Beary arrives, convincing them to hop in the old Hiber Nation tour bus and track down the other band members for a reunion concert in hopes of saving the historic venue. This search for the members of the influential group proves difficult with the Bears all in varying states of desperation and a pair of bumbling cops (Daryl Mitchell and Diedrich Bader) tracking them. Ultimately, the Country Bears and their biggest fan use this road trip to gain an understanding of the true meaning of family.
