| Very, very good...4.5 stars Stephen King's The Mist video It isn’t common these days for me to encounter a movie, let alone, one adapted from a work by Stephen King that I am enthusiastic about…but the Mist is quite an exception. Stephen King's The Mist film At the start of the movie, subtle filming techniques are employed to make the movie feel like you’ve just awaken from a Saturday afternoon nap and your perceptions are slightly out of whack. Stephen King's The Mist review This gives you the uneasy sense that this is not going to be just another visit to the supermarket for these folks. Eventually, it becomes apparent that this strange mist contains a plethora of exceptionally bizarre and highly lethal creatures, previously absent from our planet. But where did they come from? Once, the answer to this was revealed, this movie took on an entirely new dimension (no pun intended) for me and proved to be quite evocative and thought-provoking. Although, written by King, this movie feels more like something Lovecraft would have composed. I thought that this movie was very well crafted with an above-par cast and the acting was certainly more than adequate. I should also mention that I did not find the gore to be either excessive or gratuitous, which added significantly to the quality of this movie. Highly recommended. | The Mist...watch and sleep with one eye open Stephen King's The Mist BRAY for sale Terrific adaptation of Kings short story from Skeleton Crew. Kudos to Darabont for putting this thing together... the ending was nothing short of genius. Thanks for not taking the easy way out! Must see for King fans! | ONE OF THE GREAT HORROR MOVIES!!!!! Stephen King's The Mist movie I did not want this movie to end!!!! It is based on a Stephen King short story about what happens to small town people when the MIST arrives. The characters and effects are the best you'll see. There are twists and turns everywhere. Nobody in the movie know what's happening. The ending of the movie will shake you like a tree.... By jay (Houston, TX, USA) This review is for a different format. |
