A surprise hit comedy, Paul and Chris Weitz's AMERICAN PIE follows four high school friends--Jim (Jason Biggs), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), and Oz (Chris Klein)--through their sexually frustrated senior year. Boy-next-door Kevin hopes to finally lose his virginity to his bubbly girlfriend, Vicky (Tara Reid), while football player Oz begins an unlikely relationship with quiet chorus girl Heather (Mena Suvari). Finch struggles to maintain his cool air of witty detachment, while the neurotic Jim, most famously, has an intimate moment with apple pastry--and, eventually, sexy exchange student Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth). This hysterical yet sensitive movie also features memorable characters such as the ever-wise Jessica (Natasha Lyonne), the imbecilic Stifler (Seann William Scott), the dorky Sherminator (Chris Owen), the flute-playing Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), and Jim's hilariously nerdy dad (Eugene Levy).
In 1999, Eugene Levy also starred in THE SECRET LIFE OF GIRLS, which had a working title of AMERICAN PIE. American Pie Quotes/Excerpts: "This one time, at band camp...."--Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) to Jim (Jason Biggs) American Pie Reviews: "...A prime slice of raunchy fun..."

American Pie Movie Review It's time to unleash the sherminator!!! Shameless, crude, and just outragous, the best teen comedy i've ever seen.. Submitted by connor allen (doncaster, hatfield) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
the 'stifmeister' is my HERO.. My favorite character in this whole movie would have to be Stifler because in a way he reminded me of a high school friend of mine that passed away the summer before our senior year. When I first seen this movie I laughed til I cried because his disgusting male dominated behavior reminded me of John. And it kinda reminded me of the antics I once pulled once upon time when I was that young. If you haven't seen this movie this is a MUST-SEE for anyone entering their teen-age years!!! | | Murphy's Romance DVD (1985) Widescreen
American Pie DVD
$6.55 A charming, low-key romantic comedy, MURPHY'S ROMANCE is full of the small pleasures missing from other pictures of its genre. James Garner, in his first Oscar-nominated performance, is the title character, Murphy. Garner lends his unique, down-home persona to the character while the film's writers endow the character with some memorable lines. Murphy's romance begins when Emma (Field) arrives in the small Arizona town where he lives. With her she brings her son Jake, and a feisty attitude. Though this sounds like a set-up from any number of other film romances, it becomes clear from their first meeting that the director, Martin Ritt, is more interested in his carefully observed setting, and in the comic flirtations between Murphy and Emma flirtations, than in making a conventional picture. In fact, some of the film's strongest comic scenes occur when the locals show off their color, including a hilarious sequence during a bingo game that showcases the amazing support cast. Of course, there is some drama and confrontation, but the focus remains on the setting and the relationship between Murphy and Emma, whose lengthy romance is the clear mark of one of the most highly enjoyable movie courtships ever seen.

$9.79 Mutrux's crude cult classic answer to AMERICAN GRAFITTI and ANIMAL HOUSE follows the comic exploits of the Hollywood Knights, a rowdy, prank-happy car club, and their screwball leader Newbomb Turk (Wuhl). When a group of Beverly Hills preppies decide to run the déclassé pranksters out of town by closing down their hang-out--Tubby's Drive-in--the 'Knights (featuring a young Danza and Pfeiffer) unleash a chaotic string of practical jokes in retaliation, culminating in a hell-raising Halloween free-for-all. Long enjoying cable TV-fed cult status, the film's video release was held up for years due to music rights.

American Pie review For Sale Pre-Order Now! Available: Tuesday, January 12, 2010
$14.75 Swedish filmmaker Roy Andersson continues in the absurdist tradition of his film SONGS FROM THE SECOND FLOOR with this bleak comedy. At first, YOU, THE LIVING might seem small, thanks to its structure of numerous short stories, but this was a mammoth undertaking. The director spent three years just shooting footage and creating sets, but the effort shows in this nicely crafted film.
