Standard Screen; English Subtitles Twin filmmakers Oxide and Danny Pang, who delivered the creepy 2002 hit film THE EYE, forfeit the director's chair for writing and producing with THE OMEN, though their touch is still very much in evidence. Director Tamaraks Kamutamanoch executes their vision with striking results, with popular Thai trio D2B heading up the cast. Dan, Beam, and Big are young men just discovering the rote realities of the workaday world; best friends since they were kids, they now all toil away for a design magazine. That is until one night that will change the course of their lives forever, when the three leave work after an argument and go their separate ways, each having an eerie, unexplainable encounter. The prophecies of a strange old woman are continually fulfilled as the night wears on, leading the boys to believe that one will die before the coming of day. Can they stop the course of fate? Atmospheric, surprising, and utterly engrossing, this hair-raising excursion sports stunning effects and cinematography, and its underlying themes of Buddhism and the power of friendship mark it as quintessential Pang brothers material.

Omen review
$21.49 METROPOLIS, a visionary and elaborate spectacle by director Fritz Lang is an epic projection of a futuristic city divided into a working and an elite class. Its exhilarating climax brings the city to its knees, as the classes clash against each other.
In the 21st century, a de-humanized proletariat labors non-stop in a miserable subterranean city beneath a luxurious city of mile-high skyscrapers, flying automobiles, palatial architectural idylls, tubes and tunnels. With stunningly inventive special effects, Lang's allegorical narrative and architectural vision creates a highly stylized vision of a not-so-unlikely future (especially for 1926 when the film was made). As the elite frolic above the clouds, thousands of miserable workers toil night and day inside the belly of the gigantic ...

Omen video
$11.35 Australian comedian Eric Bana is Mark "Chopper" Read, a legendary criminal who wrote his best-selling autobiography, FROM THE INSIDE, while serving a murder sentence in prison. Beginning in the blue-washed light of a maximum security Melbourne prison, Chopper establishes his dominance with the impulsive knifing of a fellow prisoner. Vaccillating between violence and regret, Chopper apologizes to his victim, but his good mate Jimmy (Simon Lyndon) later retaliates against Chopper in an excruciating contract stabbing, rife with sexual tension. Finally released from prison, the heavily-tattooed Chopper has lost the better part of both of his ears, as well as the ability to make any distinction between his own made-up stories and reality. At a nightclub with his prostitute girlfriend, Tanya (Kate Beahan), he runs into Neville (Vince Colosimo), an old victim who limps from the attack but glitters in drug-funded gold. In his paranoia, Chopper connects rumors of a new contract on his life to Neville, Tanya, and his old mate Jimmy, to whom he pays a visit and discovers a man rotting from ...
