Director Patrick Lussier is best known for having edited all three of Wes Craven's SCREAM films.
The role of Dracula was not cast until two days before filming was to begin. Actor Gerard Butler's role previous to this film was as Attila the Hun in a TV miniseries.  Scary,sexy,but stupid at times
Dracula 2000 had alot of potential,but it's nearly ruined by questionable casting and an up-down story.Bottom Line:like a scary ride at an amusement park,try it once.

 Dracula? Sucks.
Yet another example of style over substance.The movie starts out with some interesting premises, but they fall flat on their face. Gerard Butler is utterly bland as Dracula, though Justine Waddell has a good screen presence.
I can only assume that the director has photos of Christopher Plummer with barnyard animals--nothing else accounts for his presence in the movie.
There's a plot twist at the end that dances on the line between daring and mind-numbingly stupid. Given that that twist is promptly ignored in the waning moments of the film, we have to go with stupid.

This is a pretty good movie. It has plenty of beautiful women, alot of vamps, & plenty of action.

This was a really entertaining movie and well worth it except the fact that they had the nerve and the gall to depict chist's crucifixtion and making this movie seem like it was about god but in a twisted way!!!!! This was a good movie but they better never do something like that again !!! THE PEOPLE WHO SHOWED THOSE PARTS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!!!!!!
