Purchase We Love Machine CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Michael Jackson Thriller CD (1982) Bonus Tracks; Remastered; Special Edition
We Love Machine album
$5.99 The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human Nature' (who can resist the ...
| | Slayer World Painted Blood CD (2009)
We Love Machine CD music
$10.39 Of the "big four" original thrash bands (the other three being Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth), Slayer was the least compromising and most consistent. As such, 2009's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD recalled more than the title of Slayer's 1986 masterpiece REIGN IN BLOOD; it shared the earlier ...
| | Katatonia Night Is The New Day CD (2009)
We Love Machine music CDs
$14.29 The latest album from Swedish doom rockers Katatonia, their first studio effort since 2006, is as moody and beautiful as their other latter-day work. The group's career can be marked in two stages based on the condition of singer Jonas Renske's vocal cords -- basically, after the band's first two albums, he developed health problems that prevented him from performing harsh death growls, and ever since the band has moved in an increasingly melodic direction, even covering songs by Will Oldham and Jeff Buckley. It's unsurprising to learn that Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt helped out by performing the harsh vocals ...

| | Queen Greatest Hits I, II & III: The Platinum Collection CDs (2001) Box Set
We Love Machine album
$15.29 Recorded between 1974 & 1997. Includes liner notes by Jim Jenkins, Jacky Smith, Andy Davis, Phil Symes.
With Queen officially enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, Hollywood Records reintroduces the band yet again with the release of GREATEST HITS I, II & III. While Volumes I and II are full of Queen classics you already know by heart, the third cobbles together odds and sods from the far corners of Queen's canon along with solo cuts from Freddie Mercury and Brian May.
Opening with the operatic rock classic "Bohemian Rhapsody," it's easy to hear not only how this British quartet achieved the kind of global acclaim that ensured they'd be enshrined alongside the likes of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. When they weren't dabbling in playful '50s-flavored ...

| | Samantha Fox I Wanna Have Some Fun CD (1989)
We Love Machine songs
$14.09 While I Wanna Have Some Fun continues to trade on Samantha Fox's frank sex appeal, it does expand her stylistic palette a bit. So while the Full Force-penned title track (and hit single) starts with some sexy-accented come-hitherness from Fox ("Don't you know it's hard to keep a good woman down?"), and continues through a freestyle-lite arrangement that offers plenty of cheekiness, Fun also includes a relatively straightforward version of the pop classic "I Only Want to Be With You." For all her vocal shortcomings, it's obvious (to the point of over-singing) that Fox is trying very hard on the cut. Her bid to be the next Dusty Springfield is eventually undercut by a spazzy synth arrangement, but Fox doesn't quit, segueing boldly into the lighthearted "You Started Something." What's interesting about these songs, in the context of I Wanna Have Some Fun, is that they're actual songs. On an album of extended teases like "Your House or My House" and "Hot for You" -- which are both populated by hokey, heavy breathing and a heap of grinding double entendre -- Fox's attempt at real depth is admirable, even if it doesn't quite work out. ~ Johnny Loftus
