| Sonic Boom Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Surprisingly good album... I'm a KISS fan going on 33 years now or so, and I own all of their albums, and when I say that this is one of KISS's best albums ever, I'm not joking. I didn't have very high expectations for this album because to be honest, I thought they were washed up and too old to create anything that could still keep my interest these days, but I bought the album anyway because like I said, I'm a fan and I own everything else they've done in the past, they're one of my all-time favorite bands, so how could I not buy it? It took a few listens to really warm up to it, even though I initially immediately liked some songs right from the start such as Modern Day Delilah, Russian Roulette, and All For The Glory. Well, the album just got better and better with each listen as I got more accustomed to it all. Wow...KISS is back, KISS is back big time! I like every song on this album, and that is a rare thing indeed, as we all know. To be honest, it's not an easy thing to top the great KISS classic albums of the seventies, they are epic works of Rock and Roll artistry, in my opinion, but Sonic Boom is easily ranked at the forefront of KISS's best work ever and a true testament to what a great band they truly are. Can't be Klassic KISS! Half the band is missing! Not bad! Not amazing either! Tommy does a good job imitating Ace's 70's style. To the reviewer before me, ACE is alive and well! Have you heard ANOMALY? It blows away Sonic Boom by a mile! Submitted by rfleurant55 (MTL, Qc) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great album!! Kiss's newest album and final return to true form has this album sounding like Sonic Boom. Every track is a pleaser and sure sounds like the band stuck to their guns w/ this release as no extra help was included. This is an excellent return to form! I give Tommy Thayer 5 stars for guitar work in replacing the late/great Ace Frehley. Cheers!! :)

Sonic Boom album
$23.29 This collection of tracks by pop singer, Billy Vaughn, features such trademark songs as "La Paloma", "Lili Marleen", and "Blue Hawaii".
Studio orchestra leader Billy Vaughn may have been even more popular in Germany in the 1950s and '60s than he was in the U.S., which helps explain why the most comprehensive compilation of his work originates there. This two-CD, 50-track album of original Dot Records recordings contains 20 of Vaughn's 28 Billboard Hot 100 chart entries, including the major U.S. hits "Melody of Love," "The Shifting Whispering Sands," "Sail Along Silvery Moon" and "Raunchy." ...

Sonic Boom songs
$13.95 WHEN DREAM & DAY UNITE, the major label debut from prog-metal act Dream Theater, includes the tracks "YTSE Jam" and "Only A Matter Of Time."
Dream Theater's first official release gave an indication that this was a talented band that combined the styles of Yes, Rush, and Queensr˙che. The latter seemed to be too big of an influence at this stage of their career. Vocalist Charlie Dominici's voice is not powerful enough to carry out the band's otherwise convincing intensity, and his attempt to sound like Queensr˙che's Geoff Tate was unsuccessful. The music here is not as heavy as it would become in the '90s but could still be classified as progressive metal. Guitarist John Petrucci and drummer Mike Portnoy established themselves as competent musicians, but their individual styles were not yet refined. The band's originality does shine through on "Light Fuse and Get Away," "The Ones Who Help to Set the Sun," and "Only a Matter of Time." The odd-meter measures and numerous time changes gave the group a complexity that hadn't been experienced for an entire decade in the rock genre. "YTSE Jam" was essentially their answer to Rush's "YYZ" and became a staple in the band's live set. The session was marred mostly by subpar singing, too many metal clichés, and poor production. There is, however, enough interesting playing to make it a worthwhile listen for fans of this ...

One of the most famous and influential albums ever recorded, SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND had a huge impact on the music world, signaling the beginning of a new era of sophistication and maturity in rock. The musical experimentation was dynamic and fresh, several tracks were edited to create seamless transitions, and even the visual design was more elaborate than anything previously attempted.
Producer George Martin and The Beatles searched for new sounds and studio effects. They added crowd sounds and animal cries from sound-effects recordings, sped up Paul McCartney's vocals in "When I'm Sixty-Four" (to make him sound younger), and sustained a single piano chord for 40 seconds to end "A Day In The Life." The orchestrations, scored by Martin, were hailed by critics as bridging the gap between pop and classical music, and many people who had never bought a rock record bought SGT. PEPPER'S.
