KEYS TO ASCENSION II contains one disc of live material and one studio disc of new studio tracks.
When Yes returned with its classic lineup for a set of shows in San Luis Obispo, California in 1996, the group's ecstatic fans reveled in the reunion. KEYS TO ASCENSION 2 is the second two-disc set released from those performances. It completes the full program of classic works and adds a whole disc of new material. As on the first volume, the sonic clarity of these discs is breathtaking and the group sounds as sharp as ever. The discs also stand as evidence that Yes' classic lineup is truly its most magical.
Disc one includes the infinitely popular "I've Seen All Good People," the mesmerizing "Going for the One," and the monstrous epics "Close to the Edge" and "And You and I" in their entirety. The second disc includes many new stunning tracks like "Mind Drive," an 18-minute epic that features Yes' full arsenal of aural wizardry. "Foot Prints" is a funky number that sports some stunning vocal work by the entire group. Of special note is the suite "Children Of Light," which serves to provide uplifting hope for all mankind.
