5 stars KARMA was worth the wait!
I just got the new Winger CD in the mail and I LOVE IT! It’s heavy, melodic & awesome. Reb DOES NOT disappoint (John’s no slacker either – just listen to “After All This Time”). And, that’s a great segue to Kip’s vocals because After All This Time, Kip’s voice is.....(insert any superlative you like)!! I can’t leave out Rod. His drumming is great and it’s nice to hear him on piano on the bonus track. I’m not a musician so I can’t speak intelligently about the work Kip did on the composition of this album...I just know that I LOVE it, so GREAT JOB Kip. My early favorites are Witness; Pull Me Under; Come a Little Closer (heavy...LOVE it!); Always Within Me; and After All This Time. Kudos to the guys in Winger. This is one GREAT album. I can’t wait to see you perform it live in concert.

Winger IV CD  (2006)

Karma
CD $13.45  4.1 stars
Winger: Kip Winger (vocals, acoustic guitar, keyboards, electric bass); Cenk Eroglu (guitar, keyboards, programming); John Roth, Reb Beach (guitar, background vocals); Rod Morgenstein (drums).
Many figured that the last they heard from Winger was 1993's coolly received Pull, as the group splintered shortly after the album's release in the face of grunge's brief reign and Beavis & Butthead deeming the group un-hip. But with just about every '80s band reuniting in the much more hair metal-friendly climate of the early 21st century, it was only a matter of time until the Winger gentlemen reappeared. And in 2006, three-fourths of the original Winger lineup returned, with the appropriately titled IV. Although original keyboardist/guitarist ...

Iron Maiden's live album DEATH ON THE ROAD captured the heavy-metal legends at a stop on their 2003 tour, which promoted both that year's DANCE OF DEATH and the best-of collection EDWARD THE GREAT. Recorded at the Westfalenhalle Arena in Dortmund, Germany, this concert film presents DEATH ON THE ROAD in visual form, with Maiden tearing through newer fare from DANCE OF DEATH as well as older classics like "Can I Play with Madness" and "The Trooper" for a potent showcase of singer Bruce Dickinson's soaring vocals and the band's trademark three-guitar assault. ...

Since becoming wildly popular in the 1980s, Irish band U2's sound has grown from a raw, soulful rock to a more electronica-tinged, experimental brand of pop. In line with this, U2's stage act has grown into a showcase of lavish special effects, cutting-edge sound, ...

Whitesnake Good To Be Bad CD  (2008) Without Bonus CD

Karma
CD $14.69  4.7 stars Top 500 Audio Samples
Initial pressings of GOOD TO BE BAD included a bonus disc containing 7 live tracks and a video.
Issued more than a decade after Whitesnake's previous studio outing, 2008's GOOD TO BE BAD finds frontman David Coverdale leading a band of new hard-rock recruits. Easily one of the heaviest albums recorded by the blooze-leaning British act, the album benefits from Coverdale's well-weathered vocals and the twin guitar work of Doug Aldrich (Dio) and Reb Beach (Winger, Dokken), as evinced on the fierce opener, "Best Years."
Good to Be Bad marks Whitesnake's 30th anniversary as a band -- though frontman David Coverdale is the only original member. It's their first studio album since 1998's Restless Heart, which was never released in the United States. The current incarnation of Whitesnake is Coverdale, guitarists Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach, bassist Uriah Duffy, keyboardist Timothy Drury, and drummer Chris Frazier. Frazier is the band's newest member; the others appeared on 2006's Live...In the Shadow of the Blues. This is a seasoned road group, but it remained to be heard if they could pull it off in the studio. The answer is hell yes! Listening to this wondrous racket, it seems strange that such a timeless sound has vanished from mainstream rock -- guitars just don't sound like this on records anymore. ...

Tim Ripper Owens Play My Game CD  (2009)

Karma
CD $14.35
Tim "Ripper" Owens rocketed from anonymity to fame when he was picked to replace Rob Halford in Judas Priest; he's since continued to impress die-hard metal fans with his work fronting Iced Earth and performing on the latest Yngwie Malmsteen album. This, his debut as a solo artist, isn't any kind of break with his past; the opposite is true, in fact. Play My Game is a metal album that all but denies that anything's happened in the music since 1982. The riffs could all have come off a Judas Priest, Dio, or Accept album, and Owens' delivery continues to owe its very existence to Rob Halford's and Ronnie James Dio's examples (there's a little bit of Axl Rose in his voice on a couple of songs, too). But that very classicism has made Owens a lot of friends among musicians he likely grew up idolizing. Consequently, the album is stuffed with guest guitar solos by folks like Steve Stevens, former Kiss member Bruce Kulick, Whitesnake's ...
