My favourite musical.
This is definitely a Robert Preston film - I can't think of any other artist who could play the part. The music and the choregoraphy are excellent, the library sequence is superb and the grand finale s triumph in film musicals.

It's good
The style of filming spoils an otherwise perfect musical. great cast, brilliant dance numbers and the music!

Simpsons and Family Guy owe this movie royalties...
Whether its Homer and the Monorail episode, where the flim-flam artist comes in to sell Springfield a monorail before he skips town or Peter on the New England Patriots singing Shipoopi when he scores a touchdown, this musical is something that needs to be seen by ALL YOUNG PEOPLE EVERYWHERE so they can even UNDERSTAND the jokes that are being given to them.
