few good twists to keep you guessing... I enjoyed this sci-fi/horror movie. A group of high schoolers, all from different social classes get mixed up together after realizing their teachers have been taken over by somesort of alien nature.
I liked the cast of characters. Don't really know why they put Usher on the cover thou, he was in it for like a total of seven minutes. Otherwise I think all were fit for the parts.
Even thou it's older & doesn't quite have the same effect as it did when I was younger & its not really scary, it has a few good twists to keep you interested! Submitted by lw (Iowa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
A good teenage horror movie This is a typical teenage horror movie that deals with alienation. It's definately a movie which appeals to a younger audience. A movie which deals with different teens going through different stages of life and having to battle there teachers who are alienating the entire school. Eventually the humans win when Casey kills the Queen B alien. This movie consists of young great actors who comitted themeselves to there roles. An above average sci-fi teenage horror flick which is very watchable. Submitted by Joey 34` (Sydney Austrlia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.
Definately a great horror movie. I just finished watching this movie and it was surprisingly very very good, one of my favourite movies, it has the absolute perfect twist that surprised me a lot, it has great actors like Josh Harnett, Jordana Brewster, Elijah Wood and Robert Patrick. I was very surprised about this movie, I'm not really into alien movies but this one surprised me a lot, it is now one of my favs, right at number 2#. A must see. Ashley, who is also in love with Scarlett, marries his genteel cousin Melanie (Olivia de Havilland) because he believes that their quiet similarities will create a better marriage than Scarlett's passion. Meanwhile, sparks fly between Rhett and Scarlett at their first encounter and continue throughout Scarlett's first two marriages. $7.45 In Karel Reisz's SWEET DREAMS, Jessica Lange stars as Patsy Cline, the ill-fated country singer whose trembling, emotion packed renditions of "Crazy," "Sweet Dreams," and "I Fall to Pieces," made her one the most enduring voices in all of American popular music. Starting out by performing more standard country songs in little dives and honky-tonks in Virginia, Patsy rose to national prominence after her manager Ted Healy matched her voice to her now famous bittersweet love songs. Unfortunately, her own love life often mirrored the sadness in her songs. We see her choose to "stand by her ...

$29.56 Federico Fellini's Oscar-nominated 8 1/2 is a masterpiece of storytelling and cinema. The most autobiographical of Fellini's films, the plot of which concerns a 43-year-old film director who is having a midlife crisis, it is a career benchmark for this magnificent Italian New Wave director. Beautifully choreographed with flashbacks, dream sequences, exaggerated fantasy scenes, and magical surrealist episodes, 8 1/2 is one of the richest, most exuberant movies ever made, in the mode of Fellini's artfully abstract LA DOLCE VITA and AMARCORD.
Guido Anselmi (Marcello Mastroianni) is at a crisis point in his life and his work; in the opening sequence, Guido, suffocating, is caught in traffic with the windows of his car locked shut. He climbs out of the sunroof and literally rises up over the highway into the clouds, seemingly free, when he realizes there's a rope tied around his ankle that is violently pulling him back to earth. Cutting from this dream to the health spa where Guido is trying to ...

$16.27 A gritty fairy tale of dreams deferred, HUSTLE & FLOW infuses the torpor of the Memphis ghetto with electric tension. Terrence Howard delivers the performance of a lifetime as DJay, a pimp and drug dealer eking out an existence with his three whores, one of whom, Shug (Taraji P. Henson, HOLLA), is hugely pregnant. Nola (Taryn Manning, 8 MILE) turns tricks from the backseat of DJay's beater, while Lexus (Paula Jai Parker, LOVE CHRONICLES), the hustler's high-maintenance girlfriend, strips in a cellar-like club. DJay's dissatisfaction is increasing as he senses that life has nothing more in store for him, but a chance encounter with an old school friend, Key (Anthony Anderson, KING'S RANSOM), reignites his musical aspirations. Key is a small-time recording artist, and DJay, armed with a notebook full of lyrics, pays him a visit at home, much to the displeasure of Key's prim and proper wife (Elise Neal, PLAYA'S BALL). Initially dubious, Key agrees to partner with DJay after hearing his stuff, and the two build a makeshift recording studio in DJay's back room, enlisting the aid of a skinny white boy (DJ Qualls) with an unlikely talent on the drum machine. There unfolds the triumphant meat of the story, where, against all odds--and after a few bouts of infighting--everyone pitches in to cut DJay's crunk demo.
Essentially a rags-to-riches story, director Craig Brewer avoids the ...
