In the summer of 1992 CAGE formed out of the ashes of 2 of San Diego’s premier metal bands NOMAD and CRUSHER with the sole purpose of creating head banging heavy metal that would make the grand masters proud! They soon played many festivals and were direct support to bands like IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST on occasion. DARKER THAN BLACK was their next release and in 2004 metal had an all time classic bestowed upon the masses. Fans and media swarmed to hail the record as a masterpiece as CAGE won several cd of the month and album of the year awards for this diverse yet powerful sounding heavy metal classic. Surely such an album could never be topped but CAGE shocked everyone once again with their epic end of the world concept cd HELL DESTROYER. Once again acclaim was immense but an entire new legion of fans discovered CAGE from the attention that this ultimate tale of Heaven versus Hell received. With their follow up to the epic HELL DESTROYER, SCIENCE OF ANNIHILATION sees CAGE pushing their boundaries yet again in every department.
