Everything Must Go album for sale Product Description
Everything Must Go album for sale by Manic Street Preachers was released Nov 04, 2002 on the Epic label. The cathartic album title perfectly reflected not only its contents but the band itself: following the traumatic breakdown and disappearance of Richey Edwards, the other Manics were left to pick up the pieces--it was an extraordinary and unexpected recovery. Perhaps most striking was their new sober image--the make-up, military garb and much of the bravado were gone--and their characteristic disaffection seemed more pertinent and controlled. ...See Full Description

| Intersting I bought this after falling in love with their latest "Send Away The Tigers". I know the newer album was supposed to be a bit of a departure for them and wanted to see what they were like before the change. This is enjoyable and interesting, but not the knockout of "Send Away The Tigers". I can hear where the current sound comes from though, and that is half of the reason I bought it. | Everything Must Go - Phil Spector meets the Clash What can I say about this album that hasn't already been said a thousand times before? This is probably the most important British album of the 1990's. There is a complete mix of styles on this album: Beautiful acoustic statements ("Small Black Flowers That Grow In The Sky!"), Bombastic overblown anthems: ("A Design For Life", "Everything Must Go", "Australia" & "No Surface , All Feeling"), straight Rock/Pop: ("The Girl Who Wanted To Be God")even a "political love song!":("Further Away"). Even the album's low points:("Elvis Impersonator/Blackpool Pier", "Interiors") are better than most bands efforts at the time this was released. Great biting and even emotionally charged lyrics, powerful and wonderfully melodic music made all the more powerful by the production. Probably the best album the Manic Street Preachers will ever make. Not bad for a "Clash copyist" band from a small town in south Wales they started out as back in the early 90's. Send Away the Tigers CD (2007) Top Seller
Everything Must Go album for sale On 2007's SEND AWAY THE TIGERS, the long-running Britpop act Manic Street Preachers reconvened after the debut solo albums by vocalist/guitarist James Dean Bradfield and bassist Nicky Wire (THE GREAT WESTERN and I KILLED THE ZEITGEIST, respectively). Clearly reinvigorated by the time off, the Manics offer up some of their edgiest songs in years (see the raucous "I'm Just a Patsy"), while also presenting some engaging pop-oriented moments, most notably "Your Love Alone Is Not Enough," a soaring duet that pairs Bradfield's plaintive voice with the breathy coo of the Cardigans' Nina Persson. Arguably the finest Manics outing since 1996's EVERYTHING MUST GO, TIGERS proves that the Welsh band can still rock with fury while keeping its hooky, accessible veneer intact.
