On his third solo album, DEPARTURE, singer/former child star Jesse McCartney makes a break from his squeaky-clean Disney-bred pop sound, opting instead for an overtly R&B vibe. Clearly aiming for Usher/Chris Brown territory, McCartney sounds most at home on songs that don't completely stray from his bubblegum past, most notably the catchy single "Leavin.'"
