Indigenous album for sale Product Description
Indigenous album for sale by Indigenous was released Nov 20, 2012 on the Sony Music label. For its major-label debut, the Native American quartet keeps its sound bulked up but stripped down. They haven't transcended their obvious Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan-isms, although there are also indications of Robin Trower and '70s power trio blues-rock outfits such as Cactus here as well. Guitarist/vocalist Mato Nanji stays entrenched in the spotlight, with his bass-playing brother, drumming sister, and a practically inaudible cousin on percussion contributing anonymous support. ...See Full Description

| Indigenous at their best. I always thought Indigenous were a force to be reckoned with 'live' but their studio albums disappointed. This is the only album that captures their spirit, heavy grooves and soaring guitars not to mention their new found ear for a melody. Excellently produced by the Davey brothers, this wont disappoint. Highly Recommended!. By James Carter, LA Blues Foundation. (Los Angeles) This review is for a different format. |
| A Fun Ride It's been 3 years since their last release, but Indigenous proves the wait was worth it. This self-titled disc is a fun romp of blues-infused rock. Mato continues to evoke haunting memories of Stevie Ray and Jimmy Hendrix with his scorching guitar work. The 13 tracks are a bit shorter than on previous disks, with an upbeat quality that makes one think the band just sat down in the studio one day and jammed all night. A must have! | Hard Driving Blues Secret Has a distinctive sound and sounds similar to there other disc's but still can entertain with a hard driving guitar and vocals By a reviewer (Oconomowoc, WI, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| one of my favorites I only discovered indigenous over the last year and have this cd,circle, and things we do. of the three this is my favorite. The guitar has a harder edge to it and the songs ,most of them have a groove to them and of course natokicks it.A must have for blues rockers. | Poorly mixed Indigenous changed their recording technique for this release in an attempt to capture the vibrancy of their live act. The result is an over-distorted muddled mix that is hard to get past. I love this band and their music, but this recording does little for me.
