||great mid 80s relese|
actually even though saxon cought a lot of crap for this album it was fantastic i thought with the exception of the single waiting for the night and northern lady was not much better but listen to the rest of this record and there is not a bad song on here, for its time and considering the pressure coming from us record companies and mtv this was a heavy album, just listen to the guitars wailing on you aint no angel, battle cry, party till you puke, emty promises, and the title track is just an all out killer, of coarse this is not the saxon of 79 to 84 everyone loved so much but i felt they got a bad rap for this album and it was a killer effort, they wrote and recorded this record in holland in 8 days in the same studio that def leppard took over 2 years to make that piece of crap hysteria album, also elton john was working there at the same time and came in to have drinks with saxon and i guess after a few to many, saxon asked elton to join them on piano for party till you puke and northen lady, it was just a fluke.

||Saxon still deliver the goods|
Yes,I know the '80's were admittedly not the best of times for metal stalwarts Saxon. After spearheading the NWOBHM,Saxon found themselves in the precarious position of becoming REO Speedwagon with (gasp)commercial success.
