Elegance, sobriety, flame and emotions.
The work for piano by Joaquin Nin, just some spares pieces indeed, is now forgotten. This work spreads a scent of authenticity difficult to find in Turina work, more famous than him. The "cadena de valses" is a sequel Spanish ternary rythm is somptuous. "Messages" and tributes to Schubert, Chopin and Ravel. This cycle is also interesting that the "poetic valzes" by Granados. The three dances from 1938 and "Canto de cuna para los huérfantos de España", oscillate between fantasy,dreams, melancholy and guitar effects, served by a cleverly improvised script. Good sound et wonderful interpretation by Martin Jones, who signed the only available recording of piano works by Joaquin Nin.
