This CD is an emotional journey across the landscapes - sometimes well-known and sometimes entirely new - of our collective lives. From the opening track "Take a Little Time to Smile" to the closing "May Love Be On Your Side", we experience the loss, longing and love that mark our human paths. Singer/song writer Hans Mayer and multi-instrumentalist, Mark Paffrath, weave guitars, mandolins, bass, mandola and their beautiful harmonies in a rich mix that adds emotional punch to songs of longing: "If You Were Here," "True Love Blues", songs of love: "A Little Piece At A Time," "May Love Be By Your Side," songs of loss, "Only Sunshine," and songs that describe the journey that makes it all worth while: "Roll on Mighty River." The standout track is the danceable, feel-good title song, "Walk About."
