Infestation album Product Description
Infestation album by Ratt was released Apr 20, 2010 on the Loud House label. Ratt's first album in 11 years and their seventh overall (1997's Collage is a generally disowned odds-and-sods affair), 2010's Infestation turned the page on a decade-long nightmare for the `80s glam metal legends; a decade that was rife with personal and legal strife culminating in competing touring entities led by different estranged bandmembers and, most tragic of all, the death of founding guitarist Robbin Crosby in 2002. Infestation songs But just when most fans and detractors alike had given the band up as a hopeless cause, original members Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini, and Bobby Blotzer managed to bury their hatchets long enough to recruit former Quiet Riot stalwart Carlos Cavazo, call on sometime bassist Robbie Craine, and sign a new deal with heavy metal HQ Roadrunner Records. The resulting Infestation was then conceived with every intention of traveling back in time -- all the way to 1985's Invasion of Your Privacy, to be precise -- for the sounds and songwriting inspiration guiding standout tracks like "Eat Me Up Alive," "Best of Me," and "Lost Weekend," which find guitarists DeMartini and Cavazo peeling off crisp, echoing staccato riffs and flashy lead runs as though grunge had never happened. ...See Full Description

Heavier but true to their early sound Ratt returns! This is a good thing. Ratt is sounding heavier, slightly more raw, and definitely spirited & inspired. That is an even better thing. The early Ratt sound (first EP, Out of the Cellar, and Invasion of Your Privacy) is carefully preserved & on full display yet at the same time, Ratt ventures further into full on metal terrain on the majority of the tracks and that, more than anything, makes this an absolute Ratt classik. There is no point comparing this to earlier work as on its' own, "Infestation" could be the best album they've ever recorded... period. All in all, this is an impressive comeback album and of a quality that clearly indicates that the rodent throng has returned for more than just a single night-time feeding. Infestation indicates that Ratt is intent on full on rabid breeding and the spawning riffs are set to overtake your rodent-infested little town. This is the real deal folks and the undeniable quality eclipses the hype. By The Trooper (Spokane, WA)
Ratt Attack Great cd Rocks from start to finish. The first track grabs you by the throat and does not let go. I love the whole cd. I can listen straight through and not skip tracks. Sleaze as you please Ratt will have you don on your knees! By allen moody (valparaiso indiana)
RATT N ROLL Great CD from start to finish!! Rocks hard and does not let up. By johnwerner71 (New Jersey)
All 80s reunion disks should sound like this! If I didn't know better and somebody told me Ratt released this after "Invasion of Your Privacy" or "Dancing Undercover," I'd have no trouble believing it. If you liked old Ratt, you like new Ratt just as well. I only give five stars for cd's I feel are perfect. While this one is close, the lyrics are sometimes a little hokey, but after all, this is 80's raise your fist, bang your head, sing along hair band music! By Screx (Columbia, SC)
Finally!! What a lot of the others seemed to have lost in musical style, Ratt has not! Guitar rock at it's best!! By led614 (Rosalia, Wa)
