| Not what I would've done...
I was not surprised to find that this cast of singers would be second rate. Their voices did not wow me at all. I was interested in this CD only because I love Rachmaninoff and was interested to hear this one act opera. While the music is quite nice, the execution of it could’ve been better. While I understand the label wanting to use singers that know the language, sometimes you sacrifice vocal beauty in that and lose the quality of sound. Not my pick this time.
