This pop-rock outing leans surprisingly towards the rock side of things, as evident on the punky opener "Stupid Little Love Song." Other hard-charging tunes includes the slowly building "Bye Bye Boyfriend" and the nu-metal stompers "Unforgiven" and "Give It Away." At only 18 years of age, Dobson is a surprisingly proficient singer and songwriter--"Everything" references the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge," but takes the melody to different places, while "Julia" is a mature, melancholy song.
