Crunk Rock album for sale Product Description
Crunk Rock album for sale by Lil' Jon was released Jun 08, 2010 on the Universal Republic label. Five years in the making -- and for all the wrong reasons -- Lil Jon's Crunk Rock isn't the crunk-meets-rock collection originally promised. Instead, it's a scattershot set of tracks that just barely fit together, but take into consideration the label problems and legal issues the producer has faced since the album's conception and it becomes a scruffy mess you just might cheer on. Crunk Rock CD music contains a single disc with 20 songs. ...See Full Description

Gucci Mane State vs. Radric Davis CD (2009)
Crunk Rock album for sale Just half a year from the release of the mysteriously unauthorized catalog clearinghouse/label kiss off Murder Was the Case, Gucci Mane returns with The State vs. Radric Davis, his latest on Warner Bros.' Asylum imprint. True to form, the bling-loving rapper brings the club-ready Dirty South rap, complete with trunk-rattling bass and trademark synths. Featuring production by Drumma Boy, Mannie Fresh, Shawty Redd, and Scott Storch, amongst others, it's no surprise that the album is able to perfectly capture the low and slow Southern sound. Some of the best beats come by way of Bangladesh (producer on the Lil Wayne single "A Milli"), who drops some seriously roll slowing Atlanta heat on "Stupid Wild" and "Lemonade." The all-star roster doesn't just stop on the production side. Soulja Boy Tell `Em, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Bun B (as well as countless others) drop in with guest verses, culminating in an album that's so jam-packed with Dirty South royalty that it almost feels a little light on Gucci Mane. While the galaxy of guest stars has become commonplace in the rap world, it's Gucci's solo songs that paint a picture of what the rapper is really like, peeling back the veneer of excess to reveal an artist who has been affected by his past. On "Worst Enemy," a song that touches on the rapper's 2005 legal troubles, Gucci looks to stay focused on his future as he closes out the hook with "I don't turn around no mo', I look at what's in front of me/I'm focused on the future `cause yesterday is history." The ominous Shawty Redd-produced "Heavy" feels like the rapper is looking back and realizing he might be in over his head, with Gucci alternating verses about guns, cash, and drugs with a hook where he laments "My ego getting too big, it's too heavy/My head getting too big, it's too heavy," as if he's asking for someone to come help him carry the weight. At the end of the day, The State vs. Radric Davis delivers the full spectrum of Gucci Mane, showing both the cash and yellow diamond-loving side, as well as his more reflective (or at least more self-aware) side. What's important is that regardless of what side we're seeing, both of them can deliver on the down-and-dirty club jams that Atlanta is known for. ~ Gregory Heaney

Maino If Tomorrow Comes... CD (2008)
Crunk Rock CD music Bed-Stuy rapper Maino spent nearly a decade behind bars before he launched his rap career. Thanks to numerous appearances on mixtapes, the "Maino Is the Future" tagline started appearing about 2004, just one year after his release. Switching labels, scrapping a finished album, and not releasing his official debut for five years brought this "future" into doubt, but it was really just a case of the stars aligning because IF TOMORROW COMES is a killer way to start a career. Over an especially good Swizz Beatz production, he identifies himself as different right from the start, declaring it's better to give than receive on the opening "Million Bucks." Feeling good about the success of others isn't common in gangster rap, but Maino is hardcore all the way and will later offer "I contemplate, they ain't never hear you screams with a pillow to your face" on "Kill You." IF TOMORROW COMES believably lives in both of these worlds because it is a concept album that follows Maino from crack addict parents to prison and on to parole where he's determined not to fail. He speaks to the soul-crushing joylessness of prison and what an important role pride plays in his life, and how much that differs from the average rapper's ide-a of respect. Lighter moments appear along the way with the infectious and snide "Hi Hater" and the T-Pain-produced victory number "All the Above" keeping the album from becoming too heavy. After all that time in prison, Maino has few answers but he has a plan, and it happens to be a righteous plan.

Plies Goon Affiliated CD (2010)
Crunk Rock buy CD music Starting with the cover photograph, Goon Affiliated looks like a standard issue Plies release, one that falls right in line with his satisfying debut trilogy of albums. That scrappy trio of releases successfully argued that goon rap is all about staying the course and sneaking in the radio numbers, but the gritty rapper's fourth release is slightly off balance, made wobbly by a complete disregard for anything slick. "Go Live" is loud and proud to be a gangster, "Bruh Bruh" is the kind of silliness that's brightened the man's previous efforts, and the great "Look Like" with Young Jeezy and Fabolous suggests Plies should put more collaborative tracks on his releases. All three are the kind of irresponsible bravado fans crave, but leaving the pre-release promo single "Medicine" with Keri Hilson off the final official release deprives the album of some desirable polish. Plies refuses to give an inch throughout the album, and with producers like J.R. Rotem, the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and Zaytoven all joining in the street spirit, things get downright narrow. Without even the slightest concessions, Goon Affiliated isn't the Plies album to start with, but fans who never wanted their gutter hero on the radio to begin with should file this next to their favorite mixtape. ~ David Jeffries

Juvenile Beast Mode CD (2010)
Crunk Rock album for sale Juvenile's idea of entering "beast mode" has little to do with ninja-styled lyrics. When Juvy enters "beast mode" he's a Dirty South version of Flo Rida offering plentiful hooks and club bangers, but without radio-endorsed folks like Kesha. No glitz, just gutter is the message of the opening "Go Hard or Go Home," and with the nasty booty worship of track two being followed by the aggressive machismo/misogyny of track three, Juvy proves he's proud to frontload his morally reprehensible material. "La La La La La" shows he's not without charm, as clever lines ("I'm so far ahead it feel like I already been ya") get dropped between the weed boasts ("I'm smokin' that good, I'm smokin' that kush/You smokin' that brown, you on that wretched bush"), and from here it's a wild ride through the night, past strip clubs (the "Whisper Song"-like "Pussy Kat"), bars (the instant party starter "Drinks on Me"), and Juvy's own pad ("I'm Da Man"), which sounds like a Diddy-meets-Too Short-styled crib. It's all in the hedonistic spirit of his 2009 effort Cocky & Confident, but proper tweaks have been made, including a minimum of guest stars so the man's punch lines aren't overshadowed, plus a lean track list so even the casual fan remains interested. Don't expect a "Slow Motion"-big hit or the thoughtfulness of Reality Check, but if you want a right-sized, Southern-fried soundtrack to getting your swag on, Beast Mode has got you covered. ~ David Jeffries

Triple C'S Custom Cars & Cycles CD (2009)
Crunk Rock CD music Introduced to the world as guest stars on Rick Ross' chart-topping album Port of Miami, Triple C's -- or Carol City Cartel -- are actually the group Ross used to run with before he went solo. Released on Def Jam through Ross' Maybach Music Group, Custom Cars & Cycles is payback as the Miami Don reunites with members Gunplay, Torch, and Young Breed. Just like the cover photograph, Ross is front and center on the album. Add a guest list that goes from Bun B to Young Jeezy and it's just too crowded for the group to make a proper debut, but then again, the trio's everyday rhymes don't suggest they could offer much more. What they do offer, with Ross on the assist, is a steady stream of simple yet effective tracks that thug, swagger, and push yayo the Miami way -- that is, with plenty of polish and heat. While "Go" is the single to start with, "Gangsta Sh*t" is the meatier street track and an incredibly G-funk one at that, thanks to special guest the Game plus a Baron "B-Rock" Agee production that borrows a bit of Dr. Dre's "Prelude" from N.W.A's Niggaz4life album. "Trickn Off" with Gucci Mane and Drumma Boy on production comes in third, with "Chickn Talkn" and "Break It Down" tying for fourth. You can blame executive producer Ross for the personality of Triple C's getting lost in the shuffle, but you can blame him for the numerous highlights too, and thank him for the weekend or two that Custom Cars & Cycles rocks your world. ~ David Jeffries
