| Great as always! This CD is awesome, like what's new, but I do have to say that back in the day, '83, this was to be one of the fastest bands around? Ouch to today's speed standards! I'm bummed since the Metallica black album, have not bought a thing! Too bad the mixing quality of Mr & Mrs. Z couldn't have been beeter in '83. Still a classic and powerful headbnaging material. Must buy. LASTLY, majorly bummed out that AMI Evil and Blitzkrieg is on this like the cassette. These guys should have remastered it too! | Just Amazing!! A new era had started, with the Album of Kill 'em All from Metallica. Many saw the whole "Thrash Metal" scene as less.., but in the end, It dominated the whole Metal Music Industry. Following their next albums. Would be a "Mastery Of Music"!! By Haidrein (San Jose, CA U.S.A.) This review is for a different format. |
| True Metal In a world where mousing your hair and playing ridiculous slow crap reigns supreme, there arose a champion to lead the metalheads into battle against the realms of hair, METALLICA. This album is metal in its truest form, and is the most essential album for anyone who wants to break the mold. Metallica grabs there chance to fight with all they've got and obliterate anything in their path. with tracks like motorbreath and hit the lights they show their power. No Remorse really shows off the instrumental skill of Hammet. and The Four Horsemen is just a really great song. Bassist Cliff Burton shows his metal in an extreme bass solo in Anesthesia pulling teeth. and of course you got Ulrich who is a master with drums and making his drums sound like a machine gun. all in all must have. By Phil (Memphis TN, USA) This review is for a different format. |
| Thrash was Born Witness the album that started the genre called thrash metal. Even though Megadeth front man Dave Mustaine contributed to this album, he will never be thought of or known as a member of Metallica. He got kicked out of the band before their first studio album was released. Mustaine is Megadeth, and Metallica is who they are. Now, on to the album. Kill 'Em All was groundbreaking. While not as polished or mature sounding as any of the 3 subsequent albums (Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and ...And Justice for All), it is still heavy and set a high standard for metal in general. Certainly not their best but a memorable album nonetheless. By I Lay Sleepless in My Grave (Somewhere, World, USA) This review is for a different format. |
