Still one of the greatest!
Apocalypse Now is one of the finest examples of filmmaking ever. Francis Ford Coppola's vision of the Vietnam War (among other things) is disturbing yet compelling.

One of the Greatest American Films Ever Made
And one of the best war films ever. Acting and direction is top-notch. Great battle sequence, just the right music (The Doors song at the beggining and end is very appropiate).

A surreal dissent into madness
Interesting thing about this film is that I can never watch just part of it. No matter how many times I've seen it, I have to watch it until the end.

Great cinematography
This movie shows how dark the vietnam conflict really was. The cinematography is amazing and the acting is very impressive by Duvall and Sheen.
