Baba Mo Tunde album for sale Product Description
It's been ten years since King Sunny Ade last released a studio album, so this is a welcome return for Nigeria's finest, backed up by a vigorous young band on a double-CD set that gives him plenty of time to stretch out. There might not be too many tracks, but that's because they all receive plenty of air, especially the half-hour-plus of "Baba Mo Tunde," which takes wing halfway through and soars like a Grateful Dead jam for the remaining 15 minutes. ...See Full Description

Cidade Negra Enquanto CD (2000)
Baba Mo Tunde buy CD music ENQUANTO O MUNDO GIRA is a 2000 release by Brazilian reggae band Cidade Negra, featuring "Mandem" and "Na Moral."
As suggested by the clenched fist on the album cover, this time around Cidade Negra aims at producing something more than the bland, mainstream reggae sound that dominated the band's previous releases. On this album, the sound is less polished and slightly more powerful than usual, with the guitar and percussion given a more prominent role than before. On songs like "Favela" and "A Voz Do Excluído," the lyrics also contain a political message, touching the problems of Brazil's lower class. On some tracks, Cidade Negra even abandons its trademark reggae style for other music styles, as for example on the bossa-inspired "Cantando Na Rua" and the guitar and percussion-driven title track, "Enquanto O Mundo Gira." Although the reggae beat and the ultra smooth voice of singer Toni Garrido still prevail on Enquanto, it is without doubt Cidade Negra's most ambitious album, both musically and lyrically, up to this point in the band's career. ~ Philip Jandovsky
New 2000 release by one of Brazil's most famous Reggae bands. Special guests on this recording are: MV. Bill, Herbert Vianna, Nelson Motta, Dulce Quental, Ze Ramalho, and Jorge Mautner.
