DO NOT BUY THIS DVD!!!
New, long lost Metropolis material has been discovered, a new DVD will be out this summer featuring this new material which everyone thought was long gone.

ONE OF THE BEST SILENT MOVIES!!!!
When i first discovered this movie i bought a 5 dollar Madacy films version which totally sucked,this version by Kino on Video dvd is completely superior to any version i've seen!A must buy for any horror or silent film fan!!

KINO has ultimate Metropolis
I was stunned by the visual and audible quality of this restoration on DVD. The fantastic original orchestral soundtrack, which could stand on its own as a concert piece, is recorded flawlessly in Dolby Digital 5.1, and matched seamlessly to the movie. The story is restored to its original presentation, with still frames in place of missing footage.
