| Amy in the Sky!
What a wonderful voice Amy Sky possesses. She sings effortlessly and is a gifted songwriter too, and this time around she wrote or cowrote all except one tune. The title track featuring a chorus of heavenly harmonies soars and you get a jazzy feel listening to “Under the Influence.” I would be hard put to label Amy Sky’s music. Sure, there’s some jazz notes, folk, a dose of country, African rhythms – if that term applies to the song “Celebration” in this instance – plus sitars! That fact might just be one of this CDs attractions. A refreshing musical experience in many respects and if this album leaves you hungry for more I would strongly advise you to get a copy of her previous record “Burnt by the Sun” as well as her debut CD “Cool Rain.” You won’t be disappointed. You get high on Sky.
