Bonnie Raitt's best collection...
This cd highlights all the many sides of Bonnie's talents and gives us something to talk about, check out the new grooves her and the band have come up with on "Deep Water", "Crooked Crown", "God was in the water", "The bed I made"(these tunes are all modern touches Bonnie needed to let loose, she is so talented she doesn't have to stay in another area, there are so many great grooves going on with SOULS ALIKE. I'm really enjoying the soulful "SO CLOSE", the gem treat Americana Emory Joseph grooves on "TRINKETS", the anthem opening and best radio song since "Something to talk about", "I WILL NOT BE BROKEN" Sure some fans just have to have Bonnie the same old same old, but these songs have legs and will grow on you. Jon Cleary really brings out the New Orleans stutt of Bonnie on "Unnecessarily Mercenary" with killer juicy slide orders galore, the beautiful "I don't want to change" and just listen to Bonnie shine on "Two lights in the nightime". SOULS ALIKE is filled with terrific songwriting, a great tight band and of course one of the very best singers to come along in the past 50 years, 9 time grammy winner and rock and roll hall of famer Bonnie Raitt.

Could have been better
I've been a long time fan of Bonnie Raitt. I was excited to open the cd and listen to it. Some of the tracks I really like, "I Will Not Be Broken,"Love On One Condition." The ballads on the album do stand out because of Bonnie's voice. But I have to say I'm not liking "Deep Water" Somehow in my head bonnie raitt, a synthesizer and drum machine dont mix.

Very Good
Like this is not bad.Like there are many good songs here.And like the production is excellent.Like she's my favorite rock and roll person.Like the end now.
