Australian Strokes?
I have heard the band dubbed this for awhile now. Not true. The Vines sound shows hints of Nirvana and The Beatles but in an honest way. On this single you get their debut single and title track of their album plus an early demo from the band called "Sun Child" which could very easily be a double A-side. This is a good intro for a beginner but being that it is an import you might as well pick up their debut album of the same title.

Eh..Awesomeness
Eh.. I have to say this is one of my favorite bands and albums... The Winning Days album is also genius..but Highly Evolved..just has something catchy about it.. I totally recommend it..

best album of the century.
This is my favorite album of the 2000's. It is My secound favorite album of all time. First is Nevermind. They are a mix between my first and Third fav band. Nirvana and The Beatles. Their secound album is also really good. You must buy both of the albums if you want a pass to heaven.

superb
it doesn't matter if they don't become legends! it doesn't take away the fact that this is a genius album. Do they have to match up to the legacy of Nirvana? of course not, it's a load of crap to start comparing them to other people's music.
