ESSENTIAL! Sebadoh III is a landmark in indie song writing. While personally I believe Lou Barlow's songwriting improved dramatically with subsequent releases, this album is somewhat of a beginning to the treasures to come. The only problem I have with it is the very last song on the disc of extras. It's a tape that was played at Sebadoh shows in the early days and has been edited for reasons unknown. Originally it was a hidden extra track on the "Soul And Fire" CD single from the Bubble And Scrape period and is MUCH better on there.
