| Old school RHCP rules@!
its true, its not their best, but hey, IT DOESNT SUCK! while the production does suck, the songs blows out with great powerfunk. songs like baby appeal and buckle down are one of the most unheard and underrated songs of the peppers. the track grand pappy du plenty closes the album great with his trippin sounds. for anyone who listened to the latest albums, give this one a try. you'll actually be amazed.

| Where It All Began...
I joined the Chili Pepper fanlist at 'By The Way' and have just worked my way back and I do have 'The Red Hot Chili Peppers' and I have to tell, it's a great listen. If you're used to the modern sound, this might surprise you on the first listen (it did me) but I cannot stress enough that you give it a try. 'True Men Don't Kill Coyotes' is a brilliant guitar track with a Western sound, 'Get Up And Jump' is a fast-paced, lively song and I just love 'Grand Pappy Du Plenty'. Try It!

| WOW
This album is amazingly funky and yet also manages to pull off the punk "I don't care about you" attitude. Although not as good as BSSM, Mother's Milk, or even the Party Plan, this album is still a needed addition for any RHCP fan.

| Must have for any Pepper Collection
If you are an old school RHCP fan then you have to add this album to your collection. This particular album was their first and a great experience for those who love the funk that is the RHCP. It's raw and not as polished as future albums, but its nice to have when you want a true RHCP marathon weekend of partying at your house.
